"Smiliño" was a name given to me by the crew -- originally started as a joke and tbh I always thought it'd be a great mixtape name. If you break it down 'smile' short for SMILEZ and "iño" short for NIÑO(little boy). So it only felt right that I created this mixtape touching base on the sounds I was exposed to growing up. I also wanted to compose it in a way that reflects my personality. 

The cover art was actually made earlier this year when I was in America. Specifically when I was in LA with my family. For the first time I felt like I was home without being at home. That feeling is what inspired the beginning of the creative process for this Smiliño mixtape.

I hope that provided a better insight into the steps that it took into developing such a sound to my mixtape. And I really hope y'all enjoy it and identify with the SMILIÑO persona. Oh and before I forget there's always 2 sides to every story.
