Sage De Lestrogén is set to drop her Femme Fatale EP on Breaks 'N' Pieces.

The LA-based artist, aka Introspekt, has been lighting up the scene with her wicked club-focused UKG, Breaks & House productions which have been released on labels such as Juke Bounce Werk, Gimme A Break Records and Practical Rhythms.

This new EP will be her first on the Lobster Theremin sublabel and we couldn't think of a more perfect label for this deeply impressive body of work, which effortlessly switches between skippy 2-step and slamming breaks and is all held together with an irresistibly bass-heavy & club-ready aesthetic.

Today we happily premiere Slippy Bxtch, the first track from the EP, a wobbly 2-step banger guaranteed to heat up the dancefloor.

Although Sage Hunt wasn’t born into the UK hardcore continuum, the UK hardcore continuum was decidedly born into her. In the space of her relatively short career, they have fast become one of the scene’s most recognised names, having shared lineups with the likes of Conducta, Sam Binga, collaborated with Oakland badgal bored lord, and appeared on our last TIN compilation alongside Soul Mass Transit System with Sexy Thing. Joey Anderson remains committed to the deep rooted sensibilities of House music, it's very much in his DNA - drawing upon influences from the underground of New York city. Over the years he has released some of the most influential records in the genre - EP's on the likes of Latency, Syncrophone Recordings and Deconstruct - albums on the likes of Dekmantel and Avenue 66.

This month marks the release of a new album on Deeptrax.

His sound has always been cemented in a deep, philosophical energy. It's music as much for listening, ambience and mood as it is the dancefloor.

Over the years his music has gone on to reach critical acclaim and gained international recognition but it is his home city and the origins of the musical culture from which he draws strength, not the hype or social media circus.

Not one to dabble in eccentricities his music is stripped back, utilising uniquely programmed machinery to create delicate textures and weird dusty tones which often lead to a unique transcendence.

Joey is an artist we've been keen to feature in this series for a long time now and the result is just as special as we could have imagined...
