Forriner are Lee Forster and Oli Warriner, perhaps better known by their individual projects Last Waltz and Traela… they have recently joined forces as Forriner. Lee was responsible for the infamous Newcastle based party, Dada which he ran alongside Geoff “Man Power” Kirkwood and Mick Rolfe (all of Last Waltz) who brought diverse guest Dj’s to the city such as…Chida, Kento, Felix Dickinson and I-F to name a handful. The trio have played clubs, festivals and parties far and wide from Tel Aviv, Berlin, Lithuania and Croatia. Lee has also held down a residency at Tokyo in Newcastle for over 15 Years and been pivotal to the scene in the north east from way, way back with involvement in other club based projects such as, Reverb, Method Lounge, Hipcheck and Hold It Down.
Back in 2014 Oli began the running and organising of a series of secret parties in the city which would later develop into the record label he owns today. Tunnyl Records is an amalgamation of the many different avenues Oli takes his influence from, not being bound by any specific genre. Contacting artists brought to his attention through word of mouth and hard work, as opposed to current trends and hype.
Both meeting each other through their contributions to the Newcastle music scene and having successfully put out solo material on staples such as ESP Institute, Mule Musiq, Let’s Play House, Tusk Wax and Hhatri, the duo decided to recently combine as Forriner. Their first releases for Futureboogie Recordings and Man Power’s MeMeMe have seen them off to a strong start picking up airplay on BBC Radio 1. Now, the pair have decided to start their own record label - Forriner Music. Their labels ethos going forward… releasing music that they like, outside of conventional genre boundaries.

A "Bedford Falls Player" with Terry Farley, one half of "Cosmic Moonbase" & Resident DJ & Founder of "Solid Gold", Coops has shared many weekends with some of the BEST DJ's in the UK at his residency at "Solid Gold" which now has now taken a sabbatical from Windsor for a while - Mark has a few cheeky appearances locally but is using his time to play drums, percussion and other bits and bobs with a few local bands and musicians plus LOTS of studio time working with Justin Drake, Tim Dorney and some local talent getting the "BFP" sound more refined and unique...

The DJ's Mark has shared the decks with over the last few years reads like a "who's who" of UK's finest pioneering players, from Boy's Own's Terry Farley, Shoom & Future's Trevor Fung, Brandon Block, X-Press2's Rocky, Steve Proctor, Justin Roberston, Danny Rampling, Jo Mills, Nancy Noise, Craig Walsh, Jon Pleased, Timo Garcia, DJ Lottie, Al Mackenzie, Rusty Egan (Blitz Club), Dom Moir, Chad Jackson, Paul Dakeyne, Nick Hook...to name a few...AND has also worked along side local DJ's Rob Webb (Also part of the BFP), Si, Jay Evans, Scott James, Steve Nash & Monkey (Trunks of Funk), Joe Bonner, Elliott Leslie, Wildcat Will and the list goes on....

MARK & his COSMIC MOONBASE have a number of pumping releases on Brandon Block's BLOXBOX RECORDS and the BEDFORD FALLS PLAYERS with TERRY FARLEY have tracks available on the amazing Endemic Digital label and on MoodMusic with the highly acclaimed "BALLAD OF HARDROCK" with the fabulous "Ashley Beedle's Housin' Vocal Mix" as featured on BBC6's Andrew Weatherall's show when Terry Farley looked back on music from the early Soul, Reggae, House records to the "New School" records of today... Well worth a listen! Also recently "Cool Bango" was the 100th release on Krafted Music's "EJ Underground" with some very cool mixes courtesy of D:Ream's Al MacKenzie, Acid Washed, Leo Zero plus the follow up "Fallen Off The Sample" which has been picked up for release later on in 2015!

The Warriors are  forged from an alliance of transatlantic low-fi fanatics and leftfield DJ / Producers. Projecting an amalgamation of Chemical Beats, broken beat, jazz, downtempo, house, techno, electronica, noise and psyche, their unusual sound, whether laid back, or dance floor oriented, could quite easily come from a dystopic future where truly bad taste is outlawed.
