Returning to the scene after a 6 year hiatus, Blackout is bringing back his signature style of hard beats, driving basslines and energetic, uplifting melodies to the Hardcore and Hard Dance scene. Playing at events such as Fantazia, Uprising, Vibealite, Hardvibez, Defiance, Area 32, Party in the Pines, whilst holding residencies at Dizstruxshon, Phuture Beatz, Audio Hallucination and Back to the Core, Blackout was a name seen all over the Yorkshire rave scene, every week. 2022 will be the first time taking bookings since 2016....

Born and raised in Newark, NJ U.S.A. Mr. Tay as a young youth grew up listening to the house music inception started by Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan. The legendary Club Zanzibar in Newark, NJ, is where Mr. Tay would go to listen to the D.J. greats Likes of Tony Humphries, David Morales, and Kerri Chandler. He frequently watched and danced to House Celebrities performing like CeCe Rodger, Fonda Rae, Linda Crawford, Gloria Gaynor, Aly-Us, and Linda Crawford.

The love of the 'Wheels of Steel' started out for James some 40 years ago as the school resident DJ playing 80's Soul and Hip Hop. 

True vinyl addiction set in with the birth of the Acid and Warehouse scenes in and around London in the late 80's and so seeded a deep-rooted love of House music. 

DJ duties continue to this very day with regular spins in Prague and neighboring cities where James serves up deepness with a nod to the past and future on each musical journey.
