The Duke of New York is a producer, music supervisor & DJ debuting in 2011 as creator/ co-producer of Edmonton, Alberta’s “Freezing Man Festival” (with appearances by Kaskade, Major Lazer & Diplo, Chromeo, KRS-1 & Broken Social Scene). In 2012, he performed “The Blade Runner improvisations” in Tokyo, Washington DC & at ‘Dragon-Con’ in Atlanta. Years of Soundcloud remixes, culminated in pitching Paul Simon a ‘remix concept for the Grammy winning, world music genre defining“Graceland.” In 2017 he took the idea live & performed it in Kathmandu, Nepal, returning as producer/ curator for 2018’s Paul Simon “Graceland-The Remixes”(SONY). He was invited to perform it live in Tanzania at Karibu Music Festival, adding shows on Zanzibar. He returned in 2019 to perform with The London African Gospel Choir for their U.S. debut tour. He is now completing work on a debut album of original sides; also, re conjuring “The Blade Runner” improvisations & sound designs for a forthcoming (DTLA)Los Angeles installation.
