Italy’s Rosario Galati and Déepalma Records founder Yves Murasca team together to deliver their new tech-house smasher ‘Kalura’. Launched in 2013, Déepalma Records has established a consistent discography covering House and Tech-House, Deep House and Deep Disco, with a roster spanning Dayne S, Giom, Piemont, Satin Jackets, Lexer, Vanilla Ace and Tapesh just to mention a few. Another talented regular on the label is Sicilian producer Rosario Galati, a frequent collaborator with Yves Murasca on imprints such as Déepalma and Kittball when not making appearances on the likes of Kingstreet or Milk & Sugar. The close friends’ new production ‘Kalura’ meanwhile is their fifth collaborative single and represents the techy side of the duo. The track’s low-slung groove resulting of crunchy twisted beats and anthemic synths alongside a remarkable vocal and deep sultry organ arpeggios in the break, makes this a special one for the upcoming festival season for sure. Infectious, driving and energetic.

Hi,
It’s a great pleasure for me to announce Aaristos as new guest wizz, the Germany-based DJ with Greek roots, who is a true magician in blending the typically German ethereal electronic sounds with the peerless depths of Greek mysticism.  When listening to this set for the first time, my mind slowly drifted away to the Meteora region in North-West Greece, with its unique complex of ancient monasteries perched on top of giant rock formations (some of which tower 400 meters above the surrounding valley).  In the 9th century, the first ascetic hermits arrived in this area and settled on top of these boulders, living a life in solitary contemplation above the clouds and only meeting sporadically during their recurrent hermit get-togethers.  In the ensuing centuries, the hermits were replaced on the rocktops by orthodox monasteries, which could only be reached by wooden ladders or even ropes.  This was only for the brave as these ropes only got replaced ‘when the Lord decided so’.  At its peak, there were over 20 rock-top monasteries, of which 6 are still operational at this moment (4 for monks and 2 for nuns).  My inner hermit can’t wait to join one of these skyborne monasteries, but only after listening one more time to this set from Aaristos…

Nach fast 7 Jahren Pause ist Micha 2017 wieder aktiv an die Decks gestiegen. In den 90ern hat das Urgestein der Leipziger Technoszene, als „Ditte“ nicht nur in Deutschland von sich reden gemacht. Er war Mitveranstalter der legendären EASTSIDE Partys (1993-2001) und leitete von 2003 bis 2006 den kleinen, sehr feinen Club Molendyk. Im Jahr 2003 gewann er völlig verdient den MDR Sputnik Turntable Days DJ Contest vor 49 weiteren DJ´s. Er beherrscht es wie kaum ein Zweiter, immer das gewisse Etwas in seine Sets einzubauen. Am brillanten Mixing und der Track-Auswahl erkennt man, dass da 30 Jahre Erfahrung hinter den Decks stehen. After a break of almost 7 years, Micha actively took to the decks again in 2017. In the 90s, the veteran of the Leipzig techno scene, “Ditte”, made a name for himself not only in Germany. He was co-organizer of the legendary EASTSIDE parties (1993-2001) and ran the small, very fine club Molendyk from 2003 to 2006. In 2003 he deservedly won the MDR Sputnik Turntable Days DJ Contest ahead of 49 other DJs. He knows how to always incorporate that certain something into his sets like no other. The brilliant mixing and track selection shows that there are 30 years of experience behind the decks. He makes music with the heart for the hearts and souls, which he captures with his “age-appropriate techno”.
