“As a clubkid I would be out of home from Friday to Monday, exploring parts of Berlin and always with an underlying soundtrack. This would mostly be electronic music but different bpms and different intensities. Coming into Wilmersdorf in West-Berlin After a weekend always felt very special. The shift into a calmer and slower part of the city felt very special. I also always felt that time stood still in West Berlin. I could channel the eighties and also the twentieth century. People still dressed like in the eighties and many stores also had unchanged exterior and signs. Therefore my ears longed for music from the past. I used to listen to Berliner Rundfunk Radio every morning when I went to school which is pure 80s hits. Combining this with my hobby of digging music this playlist kind of represents songs which are very important to me and which represent my different moods outside of clubbing and even have great memories or emotional messages hidden in the songs.
