Born and raised in Southern California, Marbs was shaped by a deep love of music, art, and counterculture. His journey into electronic music began in high school and crystallized after two pivotal sets—Lee Burridge at Lovefest and Plastikman live—which inspired the deep, hypnotic sound he’s known for today.

As a founding member of Desert Hearts, Marbs has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s identity—on and off the dancefloor. While widely recognized for his DJ sets and moody, driving productions, he’s also the behind-the-scenes architect of the Desert Hearts Festival. As the festival’s director, he oversees everything from logistics and production to creative direction and curation, helping evolve a grassroots gathering of 200 people into one of the world’s most iconic boutique festivals.

To expand the brand’s sonic range, he launched Desert Hearts Black, a sub-label and event series focused on deep, melodic techno. As a producer, Marbs has delivered multiple chart-topping releases, including the Torus EP (#1 on Beatport), Clean Slate Glow, and The Devil’s Love.

Equal parts artist, visionary, and builder, Marbs remains the backbone of Desert Hearts—embodying its ethos of House, Techno, and Love with relentless creativity and heart.

Lauren Mia is a Los Angeles-based musician, composer, vocalist, songwriter, and electronic music producer. 

Methodically meticulous, Lauren Mia spends countless hours fine-tuning every original element in her musical arsenal. Her unique affinity for synthesizing frequencies that are both impactful and driving, yet expansive and expressive, result in a unique juxtaposition that’s authentic, emotive and multi-dimensional.

Lauren’s proficiencies in analog sound-design, composition and music production, stem from a lifelong tenure in classically trained music. Her foundation in piano and innate sensibilities in musicality have shaped an ethereal, entrancing and dynamic signature sound, brimming with texture and identity. Her primary prerogative as a musician lies deeply in the healing of the self and others, creating meaningful connection through her music.

Launched originally in 1991 by John Acquaviva, Richie Hawtin and Karl Kowalski, Definitive represented the housier side of the electronic empire that Hawtin and Acquaviva started with Plus 8 Records in 1990, and after a brief hiatus, John Acquaviva re-launched Definitive in 2005 with Olivier as his main artist and A&R, seeking and presenting the latest emerging sounds and talent to the world via a reputable, consistent, and trust- worthy platform.
With this impressive career achievements and a relentless work ethic for touring, Olivier is also known around the world for his exhilarating DJ performances that combine a heavy dose of groove inside an inspired blend of melodic flavors, demonstrating his talent behind the decks with an undoubtable versatility, adaptability, and headlining some of the world’s most iconic venues and events.

Dave Pineda, from Toronto, Canada, the label 
owner of Pineapple Digital, with over 30 years 
of experience in the music industry and has 
been a professional dj for over 35 years now 
and counting. Dave is one of the few DJ's in 
the world that can play almost every genre of 
dance music effortlessly from the 70's to 
EDM. A turntablist at heart. He is called the 
Master DJ, "the DJ for all DJ's". 

Dave is known for his ecclectic taste in music 
and his mixes which takes the listener to an 
emotional journey that mesmerizes and 
captivates. When he is not busy running his 
label or doing podcasts, he would 
sometimes do in gigs all over the world.

intensity and knowledge of music that keeps

ON_1 launched his career on the fringes of early 90’s house sub-genres. Inspired by the 90’s rave scene and the velvet underground, On_1 found and created a sound where his musical tastes – techno, bass house, and his major influence, Acid Rave -- intersect. LA based ON_1 is a fresh face, but not a stranger, to the house scene. ON_1 creates a unique, infectious sound filled with energy, hypnotic bass lines, edgy vocals that are unique to the industry. Flowing seamlessly between MainStage and the underground, ON_1 is bringing back Acid Rave. Heading into 2023, the versatile artist will segue into territories ranging from techno to ambient, with a focus on bridging the gap between bass house and techno music through his new release imprints and his 2023 tour. Curating a sound that is funky, powerful, and focused on bringing back dancing, On_1 seeks to recultivate the early rave culture that brings people together and encourages community connection through his music.
