This was the first ever sunrise set at DISTRIKT and our first visit to DISTRIKT.
Together with everybody who was present, we had a musical flight that took off in pitch black darkness and soared into the rising orange sun. It was a unique experience and certainly one we’ll never forget. Thank you for dancing and sharing this moment together!

Since the first time I visited Black Rock City, the night of the burn has always been a special one for me and I’ve tried ever since to have a special soundtrack for it, sometimes playing all night long with a partner sometimes putting together the lineup... this time was no exception, the tension and energy created during the burn had set the tone for was about to come, a night of energetic and futuristic sounds until dawn... When my time to takeover came, the mood was already vibrant so it was just perfect to unleash some guitars to raise our fists in the air one last time and to pair with the fire coming from the Warrior’s head and “El Pulpo Mecanico” who was visiting us and made a perfect fit to the atmosphere... What a night...

 To honor the lovely island of Jamaica, this dj set is simply my favorite feel good reggae tunes.  You will hear dub, conscious dancehall, lovers rock, ska,  and traditional roots reggae songs. Jamaica's musical influence is also heard in some Latin, West African, Turkish, Arabic, and Isreali tunes as well.  I really tried to tell a story with the songs, so I encourage you to listen closely to the lyrics, which speak about uniting together, becoming a better version of your self, the problems and challenges with money, the joy of smoking marijuana, everyday struggles, living good, and of course, LOVE. Almost all of these tracks I own on vinyl, and I had such a blast recording these all week long, just vibing on down memory lane, in preparation for  this set.
