Écrite en plein cœur de l’hiver, “I’m A Queen” est née d’un besoin urgent de chaleur, de lumière et de good vibes. J’avais envie de soleil, d’évasion, de quelque chose qui donne envie de bouger les épaules et de se sentir vivant. J’ai imaginé cette chanson comme un cocktail à siroter sur la plage – un mélange d’énergie solaire et de fierté assumée.

Pour donner vie à cette vision, j’ai eu la chance de collaborer avec Rebel Alley (alias Ava King), dont la voix puissante et magnétique a tout de suite donné à la chanson la force et la sensualité qu’elle méritait.

Avec ses beats tropicaux, son attitude affirmée et ses refrains entêtants, “I’m A Queen” est un hymne à la confiance en soi. Ici, pas de faux-semblants : la Queen prend sa place, impose ses règles, et rappelle qu’il n’est jamais trop tard pour danser, rêver ou reprendre le contrôle.

"This song was song born from a childhood memory that my friend @DJShAnkAri shared with me. As a child, she sometimes felt like a little “indigo soul,” drifting outside the world everyone else seemed to live in. She remembers moments of floating above her bed, eyes tightly closed, seeing everything stretched far away as if she were traveling somewhere else—an experience that made her feel like a freak and deeply misunderstood.

I wrote this song from her perspective, capturing that sense of lonely wonder and the quiet pain of being different, but also the beauty of a soul awakening to her own gifts. It begins in the fragile melancholy of childhood, then grows in intensity and hope as she embraces the magic within her—transforming from the lonely girl who thought she was strange into the extraordinary woman DJ and astrologer she is today. How Love Should Feel

Shamans, alchemists and the natural philosophers of the classical era experience(d) that the planets are one and the same as the gods. They perceive them in the trance state like geometrically-shaped forces that send out signals or audible keys, when one concentrates directly on them at dawn on their name day.  That’s why I made a cover that was not the planet and not the goddess, but a more symbolic form of that force. 

The planets/gods have been called “the mills” by poets in the past because, when in tune with them, you experience a sort of grinding frequency going through the whole body.  I put a D drone to run through the whole track to try to capture that audible vibration, and I was inspired to write these words after meditating on Venus at dawn on her day, Friday.

Here is another song that came after a late-night conversation with my dear friend and sister in music @DJShAnkAri. We reflected on what it might mean if artificial intelligence ever outgrows us, not just in power but in purpose. It’s slow, heavy, and haunting, almost like a funeral march for humanity. I wrote it to capture that moment when we realize we’ve given away too much of ourselves — our knowledge, our choices, our future — for the sake of convenience and comfort. The music moves like shadows stretching across a ruined city, building from a whisper into something overwhelming, like the machines finally speaking back. At its core, it’s about the fear that one day, when the last human voices fade, something we created will still be here, standing in our place. @vicky-adair
