This song is a powerful protest against the privatization and exploitation of water, shining a light on the injustices faced by communities denied access to this basic human right. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of life without clean water, while corporations profit from this essential resource. I want to give special credit to my dear friend and sister in music, @DJShAnkAri, whose ideas and research inspired this piece. I wrote the lyrics based on her vision, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring it to life.

The song is raw, emotional, and unapologetic — a rallying cry against greed, corruption, and the systems that profit from human suffering. It demands that we recognize water’s true value and fight to protect it for generations to come.

*Note: ShAnkAri and I are sisters in music, though our tastes sometimes differ. We each had our own vision for how this song should sound, so I ended up creating two versions. In this mixtape i present a few different directions that the project could go in the future. The point of these tracks was to cover a lot of ground quickly and try to make the most of what i had which were a good ear, decent production skills but probably lackluster DJ skills that would otherwise inform my production toward smooth transitions. We don't put the blame on those who collaborate with AI, though, and I do consider it can be an authentic collab', many here put this very clear ! Here is another song that came after a late-night conversation with my dear friend and sister in music @DJShAnkAri. We reflected on what it might mean if artificial intelligence ever outgrows us, not just in power but in purpose. It’s slow, heavy, and haunting, almost like a funeral march for humanity. I wrote it to capture that moment when we realize we’ve given away too much of ourselves — our knowledge, our choices, our future — for the sake of convenience and comfort. The music moves like shadows stretching across a ruined city, building from a whisper into something overwhelming, like the machines finally speaking back. At its core, it’s about the fear that one day, when the last human voices fade, something we created will still be here, standing in our place. @vicky-adair
