This time delivering an emotional Deep House offering. 'All The Right Words' is an all too familiar love story of break ups to make ups. The original mix is bursting with all the signature Siavash sounds: melodic bells, groovy percussion, + crushing bass riffs. His simple vocal keeps drilling until the point of near obsession. For this wizard’s most cherished work, he entrusted one of his all-time favourite electronic visionaries, Ten Walls, for the remix privileges. As expected, Mr. ‘Walking with Elephants‘ marches this deep number into a dancefloor bomb; adding the final touches to round off this masterful EP.

Siavash, the luminary Canadian DJ / producer and visionary wizard behind the You Plus One universe, is making room for his spot as an artist to watch in the global underground scene. His work has gained loyal support from industry leaders such as Damian Lazarus, Joris Voorn, Âme, Dubfire, Sasha, and John Digweed. This year alone he has seen a jaw-dropping tally of five back-to-back "Top 5" releases each signed to esteemed labels such as Get Physical, Mobilee, Poker Flat, and 8-Bit. Now, to cap off this triumphant lap around the sun, he unveils his latest conjuring: Make Room. 

As always, Siavash manages to warp standard dance concepts to again carve his own lane. This dark house groover is so unique it's hard to categorise, yet contains all the vintage elements guaranteed to resonate with heads around the world. Oozing with character and attitude, the original is the soundtrack for a sweat-dripping warehouse all-nighter.

This EP is made fuller with the contrasting stripped-down remix by the Italian hitmaker who can do no wrong, IVORY. He focuses on flow and progression, melting the original production into an old-school New York housey vibe with a modern twist. Delivering what we consider a very proud companion to the title track.

You Plus One kicks off 2024 guns blazing with the latest EP by the German master of originality, Ron Flatter. Titled 'Remote,' this 3 track package is a bold departure from the norms for the respected veteran DJ and producer, and it features a creatively reimagined remix by the legendary Canadian wizard Siavash alongside his Brazilian studio-mate Tiago de Renor.

The album explodes with the title track, 'Remote,' a hypnotic blend of keys and bells that showcases Flatter's ever-evolving sound design. The track builds upon itself through intricate layering of synths laced with impactful vocals, creating the perfect electronic symphony. The remix by Siavash + Tiago de Renor delivers a striking plot-twist, elevating the original with a fresh drum-heavy perspective that dance heads won't want to sleep on. The B-side bonus track 'Bruunshaker' takes us on an early-2000s-rump-shaking-rave-journey with a signature Flatter twist. This EP is a testament to Ron's growth in the studio, consistently delivering melodic experiences that have ignited dance floors worldwide for well over a decade.

Tired of returning home from my tours only to feel a deep sense of disappointment with Vancouver’s electronic music spaces, I set out eight years ago to change that. I wanted a place where people could celebrate our culture freely, be themselves, and experience the world’s best international artists on a weekly basis. A space where music comes first—and the selfie cam stays at the door. A room with brilliant sound, a true family vibe, and an atmosphere that transports you back to the golden era of dance culture.

Now, after eight relentless years of building, I can proudly say that HAUSPARTY is officially a global underground destination. We've put Vancouver on the dance music map, and both artists and patrons now travel from around the world to experience this rare unicorn of the HOUSE + TECHNO universe.

After almost a year since my previous HAUSPARTY mix, this 8-year anniversary performance hit differently—I realized we’ve reached yet another dream we set out to achieve + I believe I played the my fav set I have ever thrown down in the place we all call The HAUS.

Siavash is the mysterious Canadian legend behind the chart topping record label You Plus One. This eccentric artist is a 25+ year master DJ and an accredited innovator of the Northwest underground music scene. Born in Iran to deaf parents during the Islamic revolution, he emerged from a challenging past to build an impressive presence in the electronic music industry.


Siavash is an animated performer best known for being a musical journey-weaving wizard. He honed his brilliant technical skills during the vinyl-only days of the 90's. His unmistakable sound resembles his charming personality that draws so many to him: powerful, dirty, magnetic, and emotional. His original studio work has been signed to iconic labels such as Get Physical and Mobilee. Siavash’s critically acclaimed music has placed high on multiple Beatport Top 100 charts. In 2022 he also launched an ongoing collaborative project with techno pioneers Pig&Dan.


As label-boss of You Plus One, Siavash is very involved in the creative direction of each release. He handpicked the YPO roster which now boasts leading international talent including Rodriguez Jr., Oliver Schories, Super Flu, and Einmusik. With this label he’s ventured to help put Canada, especially the west coast, on the global dance music map. 


In addition to being the creative-architect behind successful brands and venues, including his own infamous underground afterhours, Siavash has carved a touring career with his addictive combo of style, soul, and stage presence. He has played regularly at top venues and festivals across the planet including Sisyphos (Berlin), Thuishaven (Amsterdam), BPM (Tulum), Lightning in a Bottle (LA), Club Space (NYC), and is currently an international resident at Latin America’s most legendary club, BarAmericas. Siavash continues to win hearts and gain a cult-like following wherever he’s heard around the world.
