Developing strong passion for music from a very early age, The Italian started self-teaching himself how to play drum machines and exploring free music softwares after being hypnotized to Techno and Minimal beats. Having built a music production skills in his hometown, in 2011 he decided to j SAE institute in Milan in order to sharpen his technical skill and deepen his knowledge in this matter.

With a full set of new skills acquired through both studying and playing his very first international gigs immediately after getting outside his own city, Uakoz moved to London (where he has been based since 2013) to pursue his dream of developing his music carrier and broaden his musical perceptions

He also signed music on: Kneaded Pains, ODD Recordings, Terminal M, Bedrock Records, Planet Rhythm, KMS, OFF Recordings. Many times behind the decks he proved his skills maturated with time which brought him to play in many events around the world in cities like: Bahrain, Los Angeles, Berlin, Amsterdam, Nantes, Split and many more.

Hey welcome to the episode number 30 of Symbiosis Radio Show!

So glad to have onboard one of the most versatile and prolific artists in the last 30 years, it’s the one and only A.Paul.

His distinctive sound and innovative techniques have propelled his career both in Portugal, where he was voted the best Portuguese techno DJ for several years, and globally. He has performed at renowned events such as Awakenings (Netherlands), Technolandia (Portugal), Aquasella (Spain), Decibel (Netherlands),,as well as esteemed clubs like Tresor (Berlin), Fabrik (Madrid), Industrial Copera (Granada) and Kremlin (Lisbon) to name a few.

A.Paul's musical journey began in 1995 with his first record release and continued with the creation of Squeeze Records and Onh.Cet Records in the 90s, and since then he's made numerous excepcional releases on labels like Synewave, Planet Rhythm, Yin Yang and of course his own imprint Naked Lunch which he started in 2005 and have always featured the best techno artists of the planet.

James, better known as Amuck, is a producer and DJ based in Los Angeles. For the better part of the last decade, Amuck has been pushing the boundaries of Techno. He has played some of the biggest shows in the underground scene, including ReForm, Dirty Epic, and Technoids. Additionally, he has released original music and remixes internationally on record labels such as Physical Techno Recordings, M:31, and Denso Records.

One of Amuck's first releases was a remix collaboration with Chemtrailz for Ayako Moris' "Gegen Dungeon." The remix was featured on Charlotte De Witte's livestream for DJ Mag's Top 100 as she celebrated her No. 1 spot for the second year in a row.

Amuck is a multidisciplinary artist who expresses himself through a vast array of creative skills, including graffiti, photography, video editing, and graphic design. All of these skills come together under the alias Indstrl Raw.

Naked Lunch PODCAST #354 - A.PAUL

When you say Techno in the West Coast for sure the name Drumcell will pop up. On our third edition of OSCUR Podcast we have the honor to bring to you none other than Moe Espinosa AKA Drumcell.

Drumcell was born as Moe Espinosa in Los Angeles’ San Gabriel Valley. Far away from the glamour and glitter of Hollywood, he cut his teeth growing up in a vibrant, culturally diverse neighborhood that still breeds inspiration for his work. San Gabriel Valley is also where he and the Raíz brothers, Vangelis and Vidal, met and founded Droid Behavior in the early 2000s which lead to the infamous Interface warehouse series and lauded techno label Droid Recordings.

A classically trained musician in his youth, Moe came to circulate around the Noise, Punk and Industrial scene, playing guitar and singing in various bands until he discovered the early ‘90s L.A. rave scene. That was when he got in touch with some of the heroic synthesizers of techno’s early years. His enthusiasm for those synthetic sounds lead to a career as a Product Specialist at Native Instruments and to independent musician and engineer work across Los Angeles.

By then, Moe was chuffed to pursue his own productions. When he handed out his first self-produced, self- pressed vinyls at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2001, he heard them being played from the festival stages the very next day. Since then, he has released original productions or remixed tracks on DROID, CLR, Electric Deluxe, Dystopian, Torque, Silent Steps, Blank Code, Ibadan, Detroit Underground, and much more. This style has caught the attention of many of the world’s top techno jocks, with strong track support from the likes of Luke Slater, Speedy J, and Chris Leibing. This style has also reached numerous prestigious international clubs and festivals. From Berlin's techno mecca Berghain to the main stage of The Movement in Detroit to North American nightclubs like Output and Stereo to festivals across Europe, Latin America, Japan and Australia - Drumcell’s sound can be heard around the world.

In 2016, Drumcell debuted his ambient project HYPOXIA on his experimental label BL_K NOISE. Inspired by science fiction soundtracks and the sounds of artists like John Carpenter, Wendy Carlos, Goblin and Vangelis, the Hypoxia release steps away from the dance floor and into a broader space of contemplative drama and rich texture. Producing infinite movement with his Buchla and Eurorack systems, Hypoxia all hardware performance has been heard at highly curated atmospheres from Berghain in Berlin to Brooklyn’s Greyscale Series at Output to pop-up concerts on the LA River.

Drumcell explores and discovers the analogue world as much as the digital world of music production, to finally combine them into his very own raw, suspenseful and hypnotic style. Influenced by a myriad of music as well as science fiction and machines, he has developed an addiction to analog synthesis which has led to ceaseless experiments in his studio in search of new, mind-expanding sounds. As one of the most esoteric techno artists in North America, his sound disregards genre limitations and is everything but conventional techno.

SYM is a Techno DJ & producer highly influenced by the 90s.
His style is a combination of heavy grooves, dark sequences and house influences, and his music is constantly evolving that you will never hear him stuck in one sound only.

SYM is a project started in 2013 and since then he's had residencies in Civitanova Marche (Italy), Liverpool, Manchester and Ibiza.
He's now based in Barcelona where he runs a monthly event called Sociedad Groove (@sociedadgroove) and he's DJ'ed in many clubs in town such as M7, City Hall, Go Beach Club, Wolf and Macarena, among others.
He's shared the DJ booth with big names such as Marco Bailey, Shlomi Aber, Beau Didier, M.I.T.A. Pushmann, Wex10, Pig&Dan etc

He also counts some other international gigs in Berlin (Ava Club); London (Werkhaus); Lille, France (La Rélève); Riga, Latvia (Moon Safari); Ibiza (The Gallery, Last Drink, Dub Diamond); Nazilli, Turkey (Taco Rene); Bangkok, Thailand (9 Bar Khao San Road); Koh Tao, Thailand (Victor Bar, Fizz); Marche, Italy (Barracuda Beach Club).

His productions have received positive feedback by the likes of Luigi Madonna, Michael Klein, A.Paul, Saytek and got released on big labels such as Naked Lunch, Dolma Records, Bloody Moon Recordings.
He's also won a remix competition which gained him a release on Darkground Records.

His unique sound and technique, granted him a remarkable career so far,  in Portugal first (acclaimed by the public, being voted best Portuguese techno DJ for several years), and later pretty much all over the world, playing on some of the best mega events like Awakenings (Holland), Apokalypsa (Czech Rerpublic), Evolve (Canada), Nature One (Germany), Rock in Rio (Portugal), Syndicate (Germany), Ruhr-in-Love (Germany), Tecnolandia (Portugal), Aquasella (Spain), Liberty White (Belgium), Decibel (Holland) and clubs like Tresor, U60311, Lehmann, Butan (Germany), Fabrik, Moog , Makumba, Ind Copera, Row 14 (Spain), Perron, Panama, Poema (Netherlands), Rex, Inox (France), Locomia, Rocks,  Kremlin, Gare, Pacha (Portugal) and many many more…

His first record was released in 1995, followed by the creation of his two most acclaimed projects from the 90’s, Squeeze Records and Onh.Cet Records, where he released most of his music during that decade. In 2005, he started his new record label Naked Lunch, a bold project, featuring the best techno artists from the planet, with amazing feedback from DJs and fans ever since. 2012 sees the relaunch of Onh.Cet, joining his other projects Parallel 125, Dirty Ego, The Light e Xtractz. He also co-founds MPC with Cisco Ferreira (The Advent) and Michaelangelo, a vinyl distribution company.

A.Paul has released over 100 vinyl records, several mixed CD compilations and many digital releases in labels like: Kombination Research, Synewave, Planet Rhythm, Italo Business, Suara, Pure Sonik, Theory, Mastertraxx, Beat Disaster, Yin Yang, Impact Mechanics, and has remixed artists such as The Advent, Ben Sims, Eric Sneo, Angel Alanis, Orlando Voorn, Damon Wild, DJ T-1000, Virgil Enzinger, Robert Armani, Dave The Drummer, DJ Preach, Mike Humphries, Spiros Kaloumenos, Torsten Kanzler, Bas Mooy, Housemaster Boyz and many more.
