A few years ago I sorted though my 1990/91 tunes by grabbing random records and mixing with them (selling all those that didn't make it on to the recordings). Like an idiot I didn't make any tracklists as I was going, so now left with 20+ mixes full of tunes, half of which I cannot remember! If you can help fill any of the gaps it would be much appreciated!

PS please do not judge the mixing, there are clangers throughout as I wasn't paying any attention to the mix - just sifting through the tunes!

All Vinyl Vol 6 - help please!

This mix release comes from an impassioned & fraught period. During the throes of a breakup, I had a moment of inspiration & overwhelming sense to create.

My DJ career has been very up & down & varied, add to that never being the most talented, I've managed to survive on little practice, no natural ability & a cultured ear.

3/4 years of stressful & even dare I say, slightly resentful, Audio Books, especially DJing the day after Dad's death, had cumulated in me determined to perform at the book shop's event, my event & to be worthy of it (skill wise). Daft I know but the shop should have a standard, something to aspire to.

The gift & curse that was lockdown arrived & I had been left feeling inspired by The Patchouli Brothers. Practice for 2hrs became ingrained in my day. Dedication started to pay off, to the point I started promising mixes as presents but sadly never delivered, as I always felt I could be better & be more consistent. Occasionally having moments but never fully locking in.

I locked in for this, 1hr 40 of driving disco hits & classics. It isn't world beating but it's filled with energy & left me with a sense of new found confidence & pride, so I shared it.
