For over 10 years now, The Rhino has had the honor of bringing the beats to one of the most iconic moments of the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey 178-mile, 24-hour relay race.

As the relay winds its way through the mountains and valleys of Northern Nevada, exchange point 30–31 lands right in the heart of Virginia City, behind the legendary Bucket of Blood Saloon. Just as the sun crests the horizon, the runners descend into this surreal moment — part ghost town, part dance floor — greeted by a live sunrise set crafted to elevate tired legs and recharge spirits.

This mix was recorded live from the parking lot stage, with Bloody Marys in hand, high-fives in the air, and that unmistakable Nevada gold glow rising over the hills.

Much love to the Race178 crew, all the incredible relay teams, and every runner who danced (or limped) through this magical checkpoint.

Burning Landiversary (Burning Man 2025, 26th)

Dane's set after Tycho on the Axolotl from 7:00-8:00am on Thursday August 28, 2025 at Burning Man.

This set was inspired by my newborn son, Sage Hart, and the new fractal of life he has invited me into - one of a simple embodied presence through which the blissful tingle of being shines.  He is teaching me what it means to truly love, in both the peak moments and the mundane, and I could feel this new flavor of love and blissful presence flowing through me and the music as I played.

By Thursday morning, after days of the mundane - rain and wind, building and rebuilding, dust and mud - I was so ready to be in community, to smile, to dance and to play together. I think we all were.

Feeling grateful that the weather gods showed us some mercy and gave us clear skies and sunshine just in time for the playa to dry for Thursday sunrise - and an epic communal peak moment.

Feeling grateful to collaborate with my friends 1) Scott Hanson / Tycho for over a decade of co-creating Thursday sunrise and 2) master of percussion, Noah Katz-Appel, for the inspired and ecstatic drumming.

Special thanks to everyone who made it out to deep playa for sunrise, Cory, Brigham and the whole Axolotl crew, Tarna, and Edna the Elephant for making magic together.❤️🙏☀️

This set was recorded at the Mycelia art project Saturday night at Burning Man this year and man was it a doozy! It goes through before, during and after the man burned this year at the burn, which is about halfway through. I did not let my foot off the gas on this one until we had other DJ's hop on.  For those that were there for it and missed out I hope you enjoy it!

I hadn’t DJ formally since 2019, and in my first Burning Man experience, I offered my camp, Sumanah, a set as an offering — to enter the weekend united, open, and free.

The set was curated with deep intention and purpose, to share a true journey that reflected my evolution as a human on my own path since 2019.

Each track carried a message for those who were fully present and in communion with the music.

I surrendered to the art of crafting a musical journey. I loved the path, the process, and the people. I dreamed again. I cried. I envisioned myself playing at PlayAlchemist and Mayan Warrior. I fell back in love with what sets my soul on fire.

I gave my gift — and more importantly, I gave myself to the gift.

PS: The Pioneer XDJ-RX2 console of the camp was operating at barely 15–20% of its capacity due to the storm damage at Burning Man. Basic buttons like play and cue didn’t work — I had to rely on hot cues. Tracks would start in auto-play. The beat grid was misaligned and glitched erratically. None of the FX worked properly. The recording has some audio flaws… and some of my own mistakes, caused by a console I couldn’t fully master.
