Tour de Farce

The "Croisière du monde", our collaborative album in progress with Roberto B (@user-55822457 and @robertoiib) that focuses on film music but with much variation and cross-genre influences, gains speed today with its 3rd track, "La tempête" - or, in English translation, "The Storm". We hope you'll enjoy it, as it seems to have been the case with the preceding two tracks in this album here on SoundCloud.

The track was created in collaboration on 29 September and 10 October 2021 (initial and subsequent mix and recording in MAGIX by Roberto B), 9 and 13 October 2021 (intermediate and further additions, mix and recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro by Alex M) and 14 October 2021 (final recording and mix in Logic Pro by Alex M), and posted on SC on 15 October 2021 (by Alex M).

The artwork cover for the album and all its constituent tracks was designed and implemented by Alex M on 29 June 2021 (in Tayasui Sketch in Mac OS), cropped by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 30 June 2021, and annotated with text by Alex M (in Mac OS Preview) on 2 October 2021 - in coordination and agreement with Roberto B.

Thank you so much, Roberto - for the beautiful musical ideas that inspire again our new collaborations in this ongoing "musique de film" - and more - album, "Croisière du monde"!

How the night came (@howthenightcame) came up with the idea of making an album on Roman mythology (Ovid's great book Metamorphoses) and invited other artists to participate in the project. 
The results are very nice I think: 21 tracks based on his favourite stories, while collaborating with lovely artists like Hypoid (@hypoidsound, www.youtube.com/channel/UCc_iQ5JFusPt9EIwKIZ5rew) and Daniel Diaz (dedeland.com, @daniel-diaz) amongst others.

“Ovid stares at The Black Sea (Niobes return)” was the track I was asked to collaborate on. The story is about a woman who turns to stone: (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niobe)

ZARINE (Dj Zarine) is one of the drum & bass DJs and producers whose work has brought considerable popularity to this style.
Starting his career in 97, he started promoting the Jump Up style in Russia. This always positive and open person still carries the culture of broken rhythms to the masses.

He received a classical music education. He studied conducting. He also plays guitar (played death metal, hardcore, techno death, was a session guitarist.) Sound engineer, worked with many well-known musicians, both foreign (Henry Rollins Band, Young Gods, Braut schlägt im Auge), and Russian, such as: the King and the Jester, Bricks, Torba-na-Kruche, Nom, TV, Calibri, Two Planes, Brigade row, Spitfire, and others.

His creative pseudonym, the female name ZARINE, owes his love for decadence, and the eponymous name of one of his projects-ZARINE (sarin) with the crossed-out letter " E " at the end. In 1996, after playing his first ever set at the CLEO club, he decided to keep the name.

The first single, "Drunk'n'Bazz Wize", was recorded in 1999 and released as a compilation album on a no-longer-existing foreign label. This was followed by releases - "Drunk n Bass" and "Art Core", "Eazy Drums" - released on the now-defunct KDK records

Later there were releases on "Dj Parade", "World of the Drum n bass" - Dj SS took the single "GO ON" recorded together with Liza K. Audio design of the magazine "SPB. RU". Release of the album "Leading the rats". Working with Goldie, Aphrodite.

To date, singles have been released on Italian, French, German, and English labels.
