Yuzo Iwata aka Fabio, 50% Cubano, 50% Japanese, Karate blackbelt and DJ/producer, originally from the Iwata Juku Dojo in Japan and now based in Berlin, Yuzo shares with us his latest fascinations from dancefloor land. A rich and thoughtfully put together excursion throughout breakbeat, synthetic psychedelia, new beat and other stellar four-on-the-floor nuances. From working in some of Berlin's finest record stores (*wink*), Yuzo has clearly developed a relationship well beyond familiar with records in a wide range of genres - let this mix take you where you need to go.

Sound Metaphors Mix Series 03 : Yuzo Iwata

Very excited to feature a really special new mix by an old friend from Milan, Gabriele (Sunny Crypt) collects records, occasionally enjoys playing weird music to dancing crowds and also spends some of his happiest days working in a record shop. 
Driven by a strong curiosity towards a wide range of musical genres coming from different eras and different cultural contexts, in a previous life he’s been a resident DJ at Milan’s Dude Club, a true institution for italian clubbing during the last decade. Open you hearts <3

A previous guest of honor at H.A.N.D. as we debuted the series with a recording of his first class workings at Have A Nice Day a few years back - Piers Harrison presents us with yet another generous offering to our new mix series. One of the minds at Test pressing and 1/4 of team Soft Rocks, Piers' insightful relationship with music and dance floor culture has clearly led to a discerning understanding in a wide range of genres - kindly displayed in this pleasant excursion - listen carefully :)

We are happy to share with you a live recording of Rue des Garderies.

Rue des Garderies is a shape-shifting ensemble, born on a summer night through the
collaboration of Zacharie Touati and Désiré Bonaventure, now joined by Vasco Cesaretti.
Together, they sculpt a free and sensitive sonic matter, blending psychedelic ambient, hazy dub, and DIY trance. Strings, machines, slow rhythms, and deep textures merge into a hypnotic jam-ritual.

An immersive and dreamlike experience—where you float, you dance, and time begins to sway.

CMOKAST returns with a new chapter — and who better to reopen the series than Vladimir Ivković. What you hear is an excerpt from the final hours of his five-hour journey LIVE at Club Tunnel. Eclectic in spirit and uncompromising in form, Ivković’s approach is never about trends or clichés: it’s about patience, tension, strange beauty, and unexpected connections. The challenging sets he delivers are not always easy, but almost always ingenious.. Each track feels less like a choice and more like a discovery — a reminder that the best sets are not about control but about surrender. This recording is both a testament to the Tunnel floor and an opening statement for what CMOKAST aims to be — a series dedicated to underground sound, a movement guided by music as a state of mind.

Dearest @shoall with the new installment of Animix - a recent label affiliate, after his standout 2025 Animalia EP "Temporal Blend". Kenny is an incredibly talented artist - his crispy, driving & psychedelic productions, via an impress slew of vinyl releases in recent years, as well as spelllbinding live-sets. consisently leave me mesmerised. 

Shoal's music really embodies the Animalia vision - not genre bound , but an amalgamation of broad styles,  and influences from many different worlds.. . & most importantly, full of personality. 

Kenny has his own unique flavour and sound, and his passion & love for music can really be felt in his delicate attention to detail & sense for hypnotic groove.. not to mention flawless sound design.& ability to think outside the box. 

A no brainer for the Animix series really :) 

Thanks for the insane mix Kenny....can't stop listening to this one! <3

in a spontenous mood today so i’ve decided to upload a recent special memory -  a snippet of my set on a sunday night in amsterdam at noclubs

noclubs has all the elements of the perfect party… diy, community oriented, incredible sound (addit audio !!), stacked with locals, extended sets, amazing music & a lovely and down to earth community surrounding it.  shoutout to naone who played before me and richard gregory who played after... amazing music nonstop

more of an afterparty vibe for this set  (´• ͜. •̥`)✧  +  a very self indulgent closing song (one of my favourites of all time)  that felt fitting for the infectiously happy & open vibes at this party.. (but who doesn't love this song?)

big love to the whole noclubs crew!!!!
