Debs is a Newcastle based artist and maker of music. She trained at The Kent Institute of Art & Design and Goldsmith's, University of London.

Debs is a multi-instrumentalist. She began writing what could be described as acoustic indie-folk. She now tends to focus on writing experimental and cinematic soundscapes.

Debs has played live in session for the BBC. She’s received multiple plays on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Newcastle, Amazing Radio & many other UK & international radio stations.

Debs has collaborated with New York based cellist Leah Coloff (Damon Albarn/Blur, Nancy Sinatra, Iggy Pop) www.leahcoloff.com 
They will be looking to work together again in the near future.

Songwriter from Scotland, also write poetry. Southern Necropolis was played on the BBC Introducing Mixtape by Tom Robinson, who said it was part of "a long and honourable tradition of offbeat Scottish poetry set to music."  

Influenced by early Cherry Red Records, 60s folk, Postcard. Interested in all kinds of music though.  Mine is DIY/ Lo-Fi. I use a Freshman acoustic guitar, and a Boss Micro BR Portable digital recorder, with a RODE mic.

Tom Robinson of 6 Music thought Ferris Wheel 1955 was a gem, with a great atmosphere.

John Earls of Planet Sound said "He fits worlds of intensity into a quiet sigh...and throws out sweet couplets many bands would base whole albums on..." 

Neil March of Trust the Doc/ Fresh on the net said, "Southern Necropolis, despite its rather eerie title, is very minimalistic spoken word and acoustic guitar, describing a young woman in a fairly desolate sounding flat, somewhere between a black and white art movie with subtitles and an Edward Hopper portrait. It is, in a way, the epitome of DIY and could have been recorded on a single track on a portable digital recorder. But it works so well and offers a refreshing diversion from the more epic production and ambitious arrangements that are on show this week."
