"We always wished to have it (at least we thought since the beginning of the year), but never got the possibility to do it: Our very own Plastic City Radio Show. So we recorded an imagined radio show hosted by Kriss Dior. And who could be better for this job as the man with the right radio show experience: Kriss Dior aka Bassface Sascha?" As Bassface Sascha he is one of the german Drum and Bass pioneers and started his first own radio show “Reload” on Evosonic Radio in 1997. From 1999 to 2003 Sascha had his second radio show called “Outbreak “ on hr/XXL till the radio station was closed and transformed to You.FM.
            
        Kriss Dior, who is one of the early Plastic City artists, made an outstanding DJ mix for this release. Starting with soft ambient and breakbeat tunes, he lifts his mix up to the next level when the four-to-the-floor rhythm arrives in his mix. Then he leads us through all kinds of atmospheres that are possible in TechHouse and House. Using the different kinds of kicks and bass in a very intense and interesting order as well as handling with chords of different rhythmic styles shows the experience of 17 years working as a DJ. The mix breathes, it pulsates between strain and relaxation. Bassface Sascha, who is also known from his pseudonyms  Blue Mauritio, Ghostwriter, Mental Bombin, Raiders Of The Lost Art, Richterscale, B.O.R.G. or Smoke Starr, knows the right moments to set accents to hold the suspense, keeping you on the move. After 77 minutes, 20 seconds and 23 tracks later, Kriss Dior brings his Plastic City Radio Show, filled with a few jingles of course, to an end with some surely surprising downbeat sounds and we listened to the huge DJ skills of a man, who experienced and formed a decade of electronic music in more than one genre. On Plastic City the founder of Smokin’ Drum Recordings who also appeared several times as guest VJ on MTV and Viva, fuses his unique sound together with strong TechHouse grooves and relaxed house sounds. And now there is nothing more to say but enjoy the mix, listen to the seamless changing of melodies and let the manyfold rhythms lead you in the right mood to have a special electronic music experience.
            
        We just like to add that while working on this CD it has resulted that we actually produce our own “Plastic City Radio Show”.  On 13th of august, 22 pm (Central European Time), we started the weekly "Plastic City Radio Show" on Radio Ibiza Sonica, presented by <a href="http://www.contact-booking.de" target="_blank">Contact Booking</a> and <a href="http://www.tracktracker.com" target="_blank">TrackTracker</a>. Every week Gorge and Greg Silver will play the deepest and hottest Tech-House tunes on the island. The 52nd installment of our famed podcast series is coming from London based DJ, vocal techniques graduate, accomplished pianist and Crosstown Rebel signing Francesca Lombardo. Initially going under the alias Jackie Misfit whilst DJ’ing at underground clubs and parties throughout London as well as running her own imprint Echolette Records before re-earthing in her current carnation. The label boss has delivered a special exclusive mix for MEOKO to celebrate Kublicle’s seventh B-DAY. The mix plays out shifty transitions that take place throughout time and space and does not aim at phat hands-in-the-air moments but rather big silent freak outs that has you coming out of your closet dancing, possibly in sexy tights. There is an endless emphasis on deep vocals which does not come as a surprise as Lombardo is a classically trained vocalist herself who also loves to produce tracks and remixes which ooze voices and song elements. This might be one of the reasons why Francesca got picked up by Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels. The mix reflects all currents of the moment, with Francesca being the firm epicentre of the London party scene.

Doctor Dru has established himself to one of the key proponents of contemporary house music. With a rich, multi-layered history, which permeates into his present output; DJing, working as a drummer, running his own label JEUDI Records, composing for other acts and, of course, producing his own emotive, wistful signature tracks that have cemented his reputation as a purveyor of the finest in deep house music. 

Years of deep musical knowledge are reinterpreted into his electronic productions, fueled by his dedication to beats, rhythms and melodies, which began long before his first eighties records got their groove going on. Dru`s scores of machines were fiddled with, investigated and pushed to their limits.
But what about putting soul and smoothness into machines? And when Bootsy Collins asks you to produce his single? Well, you produce like you’re in funk heaven of course. From 2011 Dru conceived modern-day classic edits such as “Juicy Fruit” and “Anymore”. His interpretation “The Voice of Dru” hit the nerve of the time back then and established Doctor Dru as one of the deep house movement’s main players. Being a number one charted artist over the course of several months placed him on the right musical path. In Dru's following output you saw him more stretching out, showing his diversity of productions between the house and techno genre. His very own authentic fingerprint which found so many fans around the globe you can find e.g in “The Pattern” or the in 2017 so well acclaimed track “Prärie”. 

The big club and festival doors opened and traveling the globe has led to him representing at some of the world’s most lauded venues such as Warung Beach Club (Brazil), ZigZag (Paris), Destino and Ushuaia (Ibiza), Watergate (Berlin), Revolver Club (Melbourne), Treehouse (Miami), Loveland Festival (Amsterdam) and a many more.
While being busy with touring and tune tinkering, Dru also cultivated his own label JEUDI Records, which was founded with his mates Davidé and Takeiteasy. Based on a tightly-knit family ethos Jeudi Records gives Dru a platform where he is able to truly express his love of music and to A&R new talent from around the globe. The label was established in 2010 and continues to be influential and forward-thinking in its approach.

So there you have it, Doctor Dru’s devout love of electronic music combined with his years of experience and unerring will to roll out the very best tunes full of substance and dancefloor appeal are the key elements that form the foundation of his career. The constant aim: simply to stimulate both body and mind through his love for synthesizers!
With more new music and a whole lot more touring to come, a steady tide of other hugely intense tracks has continued to flow out of Dru’s studio.
