Demos for what could be my fourth full length... I actually have many songs in the wings right now that might go on this album. I'm wondering if this will be a double album, or just an overlong folk album with 20+ songs on it. Or if it'll amount to nothing.
For anyone curious: "Be It Known demos" playlist will be my second full length, "3rdLPdemos" playlist will be my third full length, and this will come after those two, in 2075.

Really just wanted to post something new, so I scrapped this together yesterday, even though it's not finished, and decidedly messy. This is the first draft. Planning for this to be the opener for my fourth full length, which is sort of intended to be a return to form in terms of folk structure, and I have two albums in the wings to complete before that one... so, ya know, time changes all things, even if only in perspective.

scrapped this out a while back. not sure if i'll continue to work on it.
inspired by anger issues i've had... there was this man who used to frequent an open mic; an older gentleman. he was never happy with me being there, for some reason. whenever it was my turn to perform, he would get up and leave. i thought about how i could easily grow old and become this guy. those events sort of inspired the mindset that inspired this song. i'm talking to myself in this, as much as i might be talking to anyone else.

This one is from January 2011 around the same time as a few of the EP songs. it's not exactly finished, the lyric is rough, but I still enjoy what it is and eventually this song lead to other tunes on the EP and on Shields that I'm happy with. It's a wintery New York song to me, it reminds me of home. And at this particular moment I miss home, and I feel like I should be there after all that's happened recently. So there it is.
