U.S. born Don Paul Jankas resides in Okinawa, Japan writing a ranged genre of DIY music.
A mix-bag of rock n roll tunages that range from folky americana acoustic singer songwriter stuff to post-modern rock, punk, bluesy country to alt rock. 

With 30 years of songwriting under my belt and over 200 original songs, I have released 16 albums (solo acoustic and full band) over the past 25 years, most of which were self written, performed, produced, recorded, mixed, mastered, printed, burned, sold, trashed or gave away. 

I am always writing new material, or grabbing old songs from my vault to re-imagine what their potential could be. 

I have no formal musical training and am mostly self-taught. I picked up the electric guitar in 1984, the acoustic guitar in 1988, which is also when my songwriting interest began. 

I joined my first band in 1993, The Cylinders, of Cleveland Ohio, which turned my folky acoustic player/songwriting into post-modern-rock-underground-alternative musical player/writing. The songwriting changed to full band score and expanded my range of styles and skills.
