The Doomed and Stoned Show - Tales Of The Future (S7E11)

L’un des mythes les plus populaires et les plus célèbres de la mythologie égyptienne raconte l’histoire d’une femme Isis, épouse et sœur heureuse du roi Osiris. Assassiné par le maléfique Seth, son propre frère, Osiris est protégé et défendu par son épouse. Isis organise sa protection, s’unit à lui pour assurer sa descendance et conçoit Horus. Maitresse dans l’art de la métamorphose, défenseur de sa dynastie, divinité bienveillante, elle est le modèle de la reine, et de la souveraine égyptienne. Si l’histoire les a cachées derrière la figure des pharaons, elles ont eu un rôle non négligeable dans la civilisation égyptienne. Elles se nomment Hatchepsout, Néfertiti, Tiyi et la plus connue : Cléopâtre. Florence Quentin fait le point sur l’histoire de ces souveraines loin des clichés hollywoodiens.

- La reine d’Égypte avait-elle un rôle qui dépassait celui du symbolique et du religieux ?
- Était-elle définie uniquement dans sa relation au roi ?
- Comment la souveraine était-elle représentée ?
- A-t-on des traces d’une action politique menée par une femme de la famille royale ?

Dans les sarcophages royaux, l’histoire se confond avec le mythe et l’archéologie s’aide de la légende. Florence Quentin est interrogée par Mari-Gwenn Carichon.

Notre invitée:  Florence Quentin  est égyptologue et spécialiste d’histoire de l’Égypte ancienne. Elle a publié de nombreux ouvrages sur la civilisation et le religion égyptienne : Isis l’éternelle, biographie d’un mythe féminin,  Le Livre des Égypte, savoirs et imaginaires. Son dernier livre paru chez Perrin (mars 2021, 416 pages, 24.00 €)/ Les grandes souveraines d'Egypte propose une galerie de portraits des souveraines  les plus marquantes de l'antique civilisation égyptienne.

Perpetual Motion Chapter 7

The work is in two movements - Fraying and Prolonged. The first presents a sonic object that gradually disintegrates. The second reframes this object and slows it down, so that the process of decay is frozen, and the object appears almost immortal. The work grew out of reflections on 1 Corinthians 15 and Jiang Zhi's Love Letters (2014). In Jiang Zhi's photographs, flowers are on fire, but are not harmed by the flames.

Dans le cadre du nouveau programme de Seconde, Storiavoce propose aux professeurs d'Histoire mais aussi aux passionnés, une série en trois volets consacrée à la Méditerranée médiévale. Au cours de cette troisième et dernière partie, nous partons à la découverte de la Sérénissime, Venise la "ville monde". Quels sont les débuts de Venise et de qui parle t'on quand on évoque cette cité? Que signifie cette expression de ville-monde? Jusqu'où s'étendait sa domination? Quels étaient ses rapports avec l'Empire ottoman? Où se trouvaient les marchands vénitiens et quels étaient les effets de l'afflux des marchandises et des richesses pour la ville? Médiéviste, Pauline Guéna répond aux questions de Christophe Dickès.

Notre professeure : doctorante en Histoire médiévale à Paris IV Sorbonne (direction d’Elisabeth Crouzet-Pavan), Pauline Guéna enseigne en cours de licence (ATER). Elle est co-auteur avec Florian Besson, Catherine Kikuchi et Annabelle Marin, d’Actuel Moyen-Âge – Et si la modernité était ailleurs? paru chez Arkhé édition. Elle anime le site Actuel Moyen-Âge. Membre du groupe de chercheurs médiévistes Questes, elle a participé au livre Le bathyscaphe d'Alexandre, l'homme et la Mer au Moyen-Âge paru aux éditions Vendémiaires. Sa thèse porte sur Venise à l'époque médiévale.
