Founded in March 2013 under the guise of a different name, Feral Roots have been through a few line up changes.

Originally it started with Mark on lead guitar, Alex on bass and William on drums. This swiftly changed when after the first couple of practices. Alex ditched the bass in favour for the six-string electric and the songs that could be brought to the table.

With Alex now on Vocals and Rhythm Guitar a few songs where starting to take shape but something was missing....

Enter the Reaperman

After a few weeks as a trio it was clear that the songs needed an anchor, a solid platform from whence the guitars, drums and vocals could launch their sonic attack. Thus it was entrusted to Rich to bring this groove to the band and he did this with the tenacity that was needed to solidify the outfit.

Things were going well for the boys, we had a few good songs written, musically it was getting tighter, a look here a nudge there and a song could change direction on the whim of a feeling.

Unfortunately a couple of months later Mark started slipping... After a few missed rehearsals and not much communication he decided to part ways with Feral Roots.

After this the band's future looked uncertain but after some deliberation the remaining members decided to carry on with the cause as a trio.

The next few rehearsals went surprisingly well. The stripped back outfit allowed for more of a defined technicality to the sound with the emphasis relying solely on each members individual ability and style.

This has been the set up for a couple of years now and has produced a lot of material which we are in the process of polishing and finalising into the audio delights that we hope you will be enjoying very soon.

  FOUNDING MEMBERS FRANKY BLAST (VOCALIST, MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST, MODERN DANCE) AND DAYBLISSER (RHYTHM/LEAD/METAL GUITAR, F/X BOX, AUDIO ENGINEER), INTUITIVELY ENGENDERED A SUBLIME STATE IN WHICH SPACE, TIME AND MATTER SELF ACTUALIZE INTO NOTHING LESS THAN MAGIC.

  DURING A QUARTER CENTURY OF PERFORMANCE, MANIFESTING IN NEARLY 5OO,  ONE OF A KIND AUDIO RECORDINGS, A COMPLEX TAPESTRY  OF SOUND HAS ARISEN, OFTEN HEARD INFLUENCES WITHIN THIS BODY OF WORK INCLUDE METAL, POST INDUSTRIAL, VERSE AND PROSE, STORYBOOK AND ALT IMPROV. MORE SUBTLE ELEMENTS OF INFLUENCE INCLUDE, WORLD, FREESTYLE, OLD GOD, EMO, ANCESTOR AND COUNTRY.

  IN 2008 DITHERBLISS WAS FORTIFIED BY THE INCLUSION OF THE PRODIGIOUSLY TALENTED  AIRDIAMOND AL (VOCALS, BASS GUITAR, F/X BOX) HISTORIANS REGARD THE ERA FRUITING FROM AIRDIAMONDS' ARRIVAL AS THE "GOLDEN DAWN" MARKING A NEW, PROFOUND AND EXPANSIVE WAVE OF SONIC ART.

  EARLY WINTER WILL SEE THE RELEASE OF THEIR FIRST E.P. IN 2018, TO BE ENTITLED "TINFOIL...RAZOR BLADES"  EARLY REVIEWS SUGGEST DITHERBLISS  WILL REGAIN THE #1 POSITION ATOP  POST STRUCTURAL,  AND GENRE NEUTRAL CHARTS FOR SOME TIME TO COME...ALL HAIL!
