Though he grew up immersed in the rich arts culture of New York City, attending the School of the Arts and studying violin, cello, drama, and ballet at a young age, he also came of age in the notoriously rough Ravenswood Projects and Rochester, NY neighborhoods. Against the odds, Lucky found refuge in music from a young age, listening to legends like Nas, Jay-Z, Big Daddy Kane, and MC Shan. Music became his escape and motivation, fueling his drive to tell stories through rhyme and find a way out of the struggles he witnessed daily. On October 4, 1990, Lucky was born prematurely and pronounced dead shortly after birth before being revived - a brush with mortality that led to his nickname "Lucky" and continues to inspire his mission to make the most of his second chance at life through music. With a musical palette influenced by both old school and new school hip-hop, Lucky is ready to share his soulful sound and lyrical prowess with the world, proving that anyone can rise above their circumstances with passion and purpose.
