Based in San Diego, Tone-Z (Tony Zarate) is a techno artist inspired by various sub-genres. A trip to Berlin in 2020 deepened his connection to the scene, sparking a creative journey he hasn’t looked back from. 
Tone-Z captivates dance floors with his blend of driving minimal leads, energetic tones, and old-school thumping drums infused with modern twists. He has shared his passion for music with audiences across Southern California and is committed to evolving as both an artist and a lifelong student of his craft.

Sera J @seraj_official aka Dimitrios Serasidis is a mucisian, techno music composer and dj
from Thessaloniki, Greece. Influenced especially by the Detroit legacy his music can be described as a combination of powerful baselines, strong dynamics with fast grooves and catchy details.

Now he is focusing on his new live set, having his first show at Pattern Berlin & lately at HÖR, in which he presented his first synthetic approach. His live set is full of straight-forward outbreaks representing a futuristic point of view. Being a local artist, for more than 12 years, of executive underground projects in his city, he has shared the booth with some of the most talented international artists like Stef Mendesidis, Ben Klock, Jonas Kopp, Dax J, Paula Temple, SNTS just to name a few.

With strong and very successfull releases, his latest work on Mutual Rytm is a milestone to his career while he made a bigger step to the music scene and his music has gained massive and diverse support, from artists all over the world charting and playing his tracks very often. His future though seems bright while he has already signed new Eps in notable labels later this year. His passion of music is what makes him going up. For him music is a state of mind, interaction, inspiration & creation.

We proudly present the 100th mix of our podcast series. Prior to his release on our label in two weeks, it is no coincidence that this milestone is celebrated with a mix by Juan Sanchez, founder of Format Records: a force to be reckoned with in our Dutch scene. Hereby we would like to share some words about the mix by the man himself:

‘After taking a short break from DJ’ing to welcome the birth of my son, I was more than ready to return to the decks and record this podcast. I truly missed playing and am honored to present this milestone episode.

This mix features two tracks from my upcoming EP, set to release later this month on ANTIDOTE Records as well. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed putting it together!’

Bio:
 
Dorbachov is Damien O’Reilly, a Manchester based Techno DJ and Producer from the North of Ireland.  Damien’s musical journey began from listening to hardcore and techno cassette tapes in the Northern Irish countryside throughout the 90s, to becoming a regular across Ulster’s quickly emerging rave scene.  Bitten by the bug, Damien knew he needed to be on the other side of the DJ booth - ‘Dorbachov’ was born. 
 
Several bookings followed and, with his ‘90s influence clearly evident in his sets, it wasn’t long before he was offered a residency at the Dublin hotspot ‘So Loco’.  

After a move to London, Dorbachov changed his focus and direction to the studio.  Heavily immersing himself into production, he realised his true potential in formulating clever and energetic live sets.  His vocational background was electrical engineering and this is clearly evident in his industrial and calculated sound that would not be a stranger in the clubs of Berlin. 
 
Dorbachov’s next move was to present his releases to a wider audience.  His debut track releasing on the rising label ‘Haute’ in 2012.  Several further releases followed on favoured labels such as Clutch Trax, Renesanz, Terminus Audio, and Gobsmacked.
 
In 2015 Dorbachov set up ‘Carbyne Records’ and released his own album ‘Free State Propaganda’ on the imprint with solid reviews including an interview in Ireland’s ’Hot Press’ magazine.
 
It was in 2016 that Dorbachov moved into the niche area of Live Modular sets.  He took these sets and effortlessly formulated them into tracks which were quickly picked up by several reputable labels including Distrackt, Wunderblock, UKR Special series, and Room 2.  Dorbachov’s talents in the studio have also spread into publishing with a remix for Channel 4’s acclaimed cult-series ‘Utopia’. 

Dorbachov has made a steady return to playing out, with both his Live Hardware and DJ sets of engaging, intelligent heavyweight techno gaining popularity, with bookings across the UK including North London techno institution ‘The Cause’. 

In 2019 Damien launched his ‘Carbyne Live Transmissions’ Radio Show.  This has given him an outlet to showcase not only his own talent and personality, but an opportunity to showcase the talents of guests from around the world. 
 
 
It has been a real show of restraint and maturity to enter the industry in the route that he has.  Letting his music speak foremost, it is this that has rightly opened the door.  With an ever busy release schedule, it is guaranteed to be another huge year for Dorbachov.
