There are going to be things that happen to us in childhood that are irrevocably damaging; and not because we are in any way deserving of this and so it becomes the question, “How will I examine this in such a way that I can rise up? ...that I can somehow overcome and prevail and allow this to strengthen me further, incite me with knowledge – allow me to be empowered not only because of it but because I choose so.”
