We are Do the Needful from Chicago. We play classic Bollywood (Indian popular music from the 60s and early 70s) with healthy doses of indie punk and psychedelic garage surf.

Electroacoustic soundtrack music.  Our 5th album Atarashii now includes vocals with lyrics!  A first for us.  Still got the sound scapes going too.

Tigers and Monkeys is a rock n' roll band out of New York City led by singer songwriter guitar player Shonali Bhowmik.   Jason Lam plays bass and sings.  Antonia Santangelo dances and plays percussion. Joachim Kearns plays guitar.  Anthony Cangelosi plays drums.  Russell Dungan plays guitar.  Jeff Sheinkopf plays keys.  Additional guests on this album include Marcellus Hall, Matt Whyte, Yazan Fahmawi and Michael Laderman.
