Who I Am

From the time i was little child all i ever wanted to do was to play music. Morning , noon and night. When i get a song in my head i cant stop until i get it down somewhere and i know a lot of people just like me so i wrote this song for all of us Bards. Musical magicians, guardians of musical songs and old traditions. I hope you enjoy this one , it has taken me a long time to get it out and record it.

Let The Sad In

I went into the church the other day and i knelt down at the back of Church and began to pray to God to help me with a few problems that were out of my control, i prayed for the strength to except the things i cannot change, to change the things i can and for the wisdom to known the difference. I prayed for my Children for happiness for them and their children and for forgiveness for all those who need it. I also prayed for the Lord to shine his light on all the dark places in the world that are at War, for peace and help for all the starving people in  the world. I hope he was listening. 
As i prayed this song came to me, its not a very serious song but i think it has a great soul. :-)

Sometimes things get a little hectic and i have to get away so i grab a quiet corner and my guitar and sit there and slip away from Time into my own Space. I suppose you could say, " When i need to find myself, I loose myself.

Does anyone remember this one?  Dan Fogelberg said if he could write only one song, this would be it.  A tribute to his father, a band director at Bradley University.  Released in 1981 and reached #9 on the Billboard.   
Dan passed away in 2007.  A few years ago I finally learned how to finger pick it enough to get by.  Always loved this one, just picking and singing.

SOMEDAY THE WEIGHT OF THIS YEAR ON MY LIFE WILL BE AN ALBUM FULL OF PAIN,... BUT, RIGHT NOW IT SEEMS LIKE I'M CENTRALLY LOCATED IN HELL

1987 WENT TO Nashville for a “short week” Music row to make the big time … wow … nobody listens in lawsuit land in those days. 1988 WENT TO NASHVILLE for 3 days (surely, I would crack this puzzle and become famous …) so many on benches in front of churches. Frustrated, didn’t sing publicly again basically for 25 years. (after all, where would a singer/song writer, make a name for himself in Karaoke land).
2010 discovered open mics (new world begins). WRITING SINCE …a lot! Had someone to produce me in limited acoustic style for a couple years…I think a few were damn good “Fields of Quiet Soil”. Had a lot of offers to write lyrics and/or sing for a lot of other artists here. (but no recording capability …let alone a decent computer for my own. TODAY, THINGS CHANGE …I’m here to make an impact (got 4 new ones under my belt recently) …plus some old ones you will not be disappointed listening to. Welcome old music fans and artists., potential serious collabs.
