Great work by you two, Doug! Homelessness is a major problem across America and many parts of the world. Until someone figures it out...we will keep on paying the toll.

Every time you stop at a corner it seems these days, there is someone in need This is "Societies Need".  So many people are in situations, just three lost pay checks away, from a bed with a Mr. Pillow made of concrete. Many, myself included have said at least to themselves ... "Get A Job", "companies can't get workers, your just lazy", but it might not all that simple!

There are ex-vet's many suffering with untreated PTSD for years, many people forced out of long held jobs that were lost in the upheaval from Covid, so many with so many legitimate reasons to be unemployed or have too small of income to afford housing.

25 years of war has employed so very many young me into and beyond their middle ages. Now their minds are filled with many different thoughts, regrets and empty dreams. Manufacturing jobs in so many large and small cities have moved off shore or to other states to cheaper or less worker intensive companies. A barrage of buyout after buyout leaves workers stunned and disallusioned as their American Dream becomes a daily nighmare.

Some people don't have the cost of a home and a warm place to live anymore. It's just an unfortunate fact of life anymore. Societies burdens have grown beyond the "welfare state" accusations of the 70's and 80's, ... we are witnessing a more complete meltdown of the support structure in the United States and really worldwide. The disparity between the rich and the poor is becoming so evident in all countries of this planet.

I think it’s a very powerful message we have to all figure a better answer to the problem. I also want to thank Johnny for helping me bring some of my works to a better reality. Hopefully, having this song behind me, I'll be able to focus on some other songs waiting Johnny's magic touch.

1987 WENT TO Nashville for a “short week” Music row to make the big time … wow … nobody listens in lawsuit land in those days. 1988 WENT TO NASHVILLE for 3 days (surely, I would crack this puzzle and become famous …) so many on benches in front of churches. Frustrated, didn’t sing publicly again basically for 25 years. (after all, where would a singer/song writer, make a name for himself in Karaoke land).
2010 discovered open mics (new world begins). WRITING SINCE …a lot! Had someone to produce me in limited acoustic style for a couple years…I think a few were damn good “Fields of Quiet Soil”. Had a lot of offers to write lyrics and/or sing for a lot of other artists here. (but no recording capability …let alone a decent computer for my own. TODAY, THINGS CHANGE …I’m here to make an impact (got 4 new ones under my belt recently) …plus some old ones you will not be disappointed listening to. Welcome old music fans and artists., potential serious collabs.
