And Then Depression Set In Series

A very short ambient/jazz track with some pads in it

It is sort of like, supposed to be a cutesy update of the little amusing short piano thing in Winger's apartment before he does the pushups at the beginning of Stripes(1981) with Bill Murray.  That they play for about 2 loops.  I know how to play that by ear too and get good satisfaction out of that just laughing at it.

This one per the cover art is sort of an update to Soyjak life in current-day dystopia industrialized cities or something.  He's got his little delusion graphic in his head that things are fine and reality is the smog etc.

just another instrumental; a kafeneion is a traditional Greek coffee house, where people - mostly men- used to meet and talk, drink coffee and play tavli = backgammon;  so the title means "in the coffee house"

apparently google search says originally it was Robert Orben but I could swear someone else filched the quote and just used it a Playboy magazine interview like mid 80's or so which was where I picked up on it

7-13 9pm: i broke the MIDI file going backwards from Mixcraft 9 to the FA-08 where it has the first measure by itself in pink and then the Studio Set doesn't honor staying with the same instruments. (But it honors the studio set if you start playing it from like any other measure from the first, riddle me that Batman)

And then i had an amusing self-row:

Cybernetic Lama (ft Celeste Love)

Forbes as a track in its original making, was for me like Grey 17 Is Missing was for J. Michael Straczynski in Babylon 5's production.  Many many issues with the original so like Nite Prowl 1 remastering it was a headache.  I decided since the multitrack still had unadorned piano for some of the instruments on accident, that I would use Mixcraft's global effects on each track.
So being more involved than a timing re-fix this is the first remaster track to just jump to Beta designation instead of Alpha and then for funsies I decided to take the Beta Male entendre for the version naming.

Originally I had written this more than a year ago under the heavy influence of Sonic Youth and Thurston Moore memoirs in particular (around the same time as "Forgotten Boy" which was also driven by the same matters). I tried to record it back then though the result wasn't quite satisfying, so until now it existed only as an Instagram reel where I was playing it live.

It could have remained like this if I hadn't realized that this tune might fit in perfectly with my new Da Tape De H project. So here it is, wide dynamics and fierce high-gain strumming properly produced and put on tape with Tascam 424 MKIII portastudio.
