Vaguely this game is kind of a black and white or sepia tone visual novel of a 1940's style neo noir where a wife has sabotaged her husband's yacht to blow up but her guilty conscience keeps having her coming back to the pier like some Lady MacBeth type reaction she doesn't hide it very well but nobody has reason to suspect her except her husband through adventures on the sea survives and at the finale they finally arrest her.

Seventeen year-old Eärendil ​(in Sun-Year 520-521) is about ready to do the initial shakedowns of Vingilótë ​to make sure it doesn't fall apart in the middle of the harbor (that would be embarrassing...) but is having second thoughts about this whole savior of the Free Peoples idea. Círdan ​says 'if you want to dip out and run away that's your absolute right. We won't be best pleased but you are a free individual." (Knowing sagely that he will almost certainly change his mind). The young fellow goes out and has a daydream among the surrounding fields slaying bumblebees /various insects. Essentially the same premise as the 1933 poem except in this rationale both it and Eärendillinwë​​ are now about Eärendil ​, just at different stages of life.

Assembly Opcode March submission for Tiny Music Jam #2 hosted by Aurora595 for Itch.IO September 2025

"Assembly Opcode March" x86 opcodes (like how MOV=1011 binary as high/low) for a simple loop, played as binary tones. 

As the basis of my tune i used the x86 assembly code for a simple infinite loop. It performs a futile operation: adding 1 to the EAX register and then immediately subtracting 1, resulting in no net change, before jumping back to repeat indefinitely. Basically it's performative of computer science concepts like wasted cycles, undecidability in halting, or inefficient code in low-level programming history (nodding to early assembly optimization challenges). Decoding the binary tone sequence back to hex opcodes reveals a "pointless eternal march," symbolizing programs that run forever without progress.

This is a decent assortment of opcodes: 83 (modR/M for ADD/SUB with immediate)

C0 (modR/M byte for ADD to EAX)

01 (immediate value 1)

E8 (modR/M byte for SUB from EAX)

EB (opcode for short JMP)

F8 (displacement for JMP, -8 in two's complement)

These cover common categories: arithmetic (ADD, SUB), control flow (JMP), and operand encoding (modR/M, immediates). 

The full machine code in hex is: 83 C0 01 83 E8 01 EB F8.

Each tone is a 16th note. Played monophonically on the synth with Step-Recording.
I say that liberally, they -were- 16th notes before compression to 20seconds

Firenewts were fishing in my first MUD area brought over to SlothMUD in August of 2008, Herbalist Isle 1. This is an ambient piece with some wssh noises for the waterfall in the background and one global effect used on MixCraft instead of from the synthesizer cast-over the whole composition for a little more flair.

after manually performing and layering on the Roland FA-08 this got one good global effect from MixCraft 10.6 to give it some fun delay-feel to it

the instruments in the MuseScore PDF are kind of way off from the synthesizer because this one was difficult to model in the more limited instrument selection, on the synth they are all pretty abstract tone choices

This is a multi stage production where I earnestly really did put like 20 additional music sequence tracks above and beyond the Roland FA-08 synth work. In both phases the performances are entirely manual and not quantized. There are some minor tempo and timing fixes and then one global effect was applied in Mixcraft to the entire overall composition.

The track art is of Corfe Castle in Dorset where twenty-two French knights loyal to the imprisoned Eleanor of Brittany were deliberately starved to death in the early 1200's under the reign of King John of England.

I suppose by some stretch of the imagination this sounds like the later tracks on my EP "Palimpsest Of Fallen Hegemony" some months back

Just some twitter musings on the present lawlessness in general.

A therapeutic journey into a mix of jazz, classical, and a blend of types of electronica.  And a wry, gradual observation that promotion tends to only go as far as you push it.  At least I make my fellow musicians laugh a little.
