This is certainly my most labor-intensive composition to date and it required an insane amount of work for months on end. At the time, it wasn't uncommon for me to spend the whole night to create just 5 seconds of music. The Ableton Live screen for this song shows an equally peculiar view -- large amounts of micro-samples lined up one after the other, corresponding to individual notes that had their durations and pitches meticulously altered. 

In fact, samples of real instruments were previously chopped up almost note by note and some of these pieces were picked out and lined up on another Ableton audio track. In this way, the brass sections were created very slowly and in a totally experimental manner.

The title is a naughty joke about an unusual situation I went through. While I was working on the track, I sent a message to a musician I admire, highly praising his work and style, and also asking if he would like to take part in a collab. The answer came back with just one word: “no”. Well, I couldn't help but make fun of the whole situation and the title of the song came naturally... lol 🤣

The main influence for this experimental song is the work of Hoyt Curtin and his best-known score, the opening and closing themes of the 1960s cartoon Jonny Quest, aired by Hanna-Barbera Studios (my all-time favorite cartoon).
