Dissatisfaction Expands To The Available Space

A very short ambient/jazz track with some pads in it

It is sort of like, supposed to be a cutesy update of the little amusing short piano thing in Winger's apartment before he does the pushups at the beginning of Stripes(1981) with Bill Murray.  That they play for about 2 loops.  I know how to play that by ear too and get good satisfaction out of that just laughing at it.

This one per the cover art is sort of an update to Soyjak life in current-day dystopia industrialized cities or something.  He's got his little delusion graphic in his head that things are fine and reality is the smog etc.

Verkehr
In this track I am trying to fit together the sound of the Strat with the synthesizers available in the #AKAI #MPC. For example, the second verse starts with a #Strat arpeggio followed by a synth #arpeggio. 
An arpeggiated Strat is present also on the chorus, and it is stereo-balanced with the synth pads.

All the effects applied on the Strat are stock ones available in the MPC, and the pre-amp is done by the #Marshall DSL-1. The overdrive on the guitar is generated by the DSL-1 #tubes.

I am experimenting the usage of #synthbass, using two different tracks, for #subbass and for bass. I like the thick sound I get from this approach.

I doubled the melody on the chorus on different octaves to have a bigger sound, and I think it works quite well, please let me know what you think in the comments.

I like a lot the intro-outro which is harmonized using 11th chords with the synth - mainly #Hype - and and with the Strat.

The title Verkehr is a German word that means traffic. I shot the photos in the #Verkehrshaus museum - museum of transportation in Luzern, Switzerland.

I aimed for a caribbean feel using skank guitar, organ bubble, bass and percussion punctuated by a trombone chorus. I also added a sort of descant using a sampled accordeon to complement the voice. Overall I planned this as a response to what I could hear in the vocal line. For this reason the trombone riffs and snare patterns were totally improvised while listening to the voice.

"Sunshine Through Rain" (Sunset Mix) is the second version (original EDM remix) of my original pop song, "Sunshine Through Rain" and features house musician Curtis McClain. A bit of history on Curtis: he was the house music vocalist on the house anthem song "Move Your Body" by house pioneer Marshall Jefferson. The "Move Your Body" track was later remixed by Benny Benassi and released by Ultra Music. Curtis McClain is featured predominately in this track's bridge but also does backup vocals and ad-libs throughout. The sunset mix is a more club/dance-oriented version of the sibling track which has a more indie-pop feel.

A therapeutic journey into a mix of jazz, classical, and a blend of types of electronica.  And a wry, gradual observation that promotion tends to only go as far as you push it.  At least I make my fellow musicians laugh a little.
