It is summer. The sun reflects off the water and shallow waves slowly break on the sandy shore. But suddenly the perception changes. The sound of the swell becomes increasingly rhythmic, and one gently recognizes the sound of a deep and melancholy melody. The light begins to dance on the surface of the sea and the whole scene is transformed into a picturesque view of bright colors paired with warm feelings.

Our loyal companion Lui Mafuta is responsible for this beautiful journey. The whole EP turned out to be a wonderful trip, refined with the help of Daniel Hokum, Niju and Tlazohtla. A big thank you goes out to all the musicians, our artwork hero Kilian Van De Water and Haunted Water for the lovely mastering.

Having made a name for himself with a constant output of unique releases, Ber- nese artist Geplantes Nichtstun debuts on Heimlich with his „Illusion of Knowled- ge“ EP. Like a lonesome rider in the desert, the opening track „Schub“ combines dusty guitar sounds and detuned arpeggios, with subtle vocal snippets and orga- nic percussions adding a touch of saloon atmosphere. „Spagat“ is an aptly titled balancing act between playful lead sounds and wind players adding an extra layer to the arrangement. A monk is sitting in the lotus position, fully aware of his surroundings as he meditates. He starts to chant the mantra of YAM and opens his heart with the anahata chakra. He is right by the water - the Mekong River and becomes one with nature as he chants. A musical piece comes into his vision and his smile is brightening up, while he takes in the sun rays.
