Summer is flying by and it's time for our next compilation again. This time we have put together a large selection of artists for you whose sound we have been liking lately.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

We are very grateful to have represented so many different and talented musicians on our label and we would like to thank all artists involved. Especially our Mastering Engineer Haunted Water & Kilian Van De Water for the gorgeous Artwork again.

Vodoom - Hip Nose

Understanding about the functions of the human genom is a major challenge that hasn’t been fully resolved to date. It is proven that all genetic information are coded in the human genom. To figure out the secrets of the genom in 1990 the international „Human Genome Project“ has been founded. This scientific association wants to decode the Human DNA. By understanding DNA, researchers hoped to find out new methods to cure diseases. The project comes to an end in 2004. But first since 2021 the human genom is considered as completely decoded. Independently of this, many interactions between genes cannot be fully understood to this day. Therefore it seems important to focus on the whole system and not just study the individual parts. The Genom EP is the first solo EP from Kapoor at KataHaifisch and the fourth one on KataHaifisch at all. The two Songs of the EP are defined through strong Basslines and touched by amazing sounding Synths. With his musical journey Kapoor leads us into hidden realms of human existence and delights us with exciting Downtempo. Have fun with the Genom EP <3

This track once started as a Korg Gadget-Sketch, took a short break in PHUEXE-Kitchen with @christianhuelshoff and ended up in the lumber room for several years. 
As I still liked the track idea and the winter got me in the mood for some downtempo again, I did some sessions on this  - et voila. Hope you like it.

The next drink in our glass is served to you by the marvelous Armenian musician Moon’s Voyager. His tracks, in which he gives oriental harmonies a danceable character, deal with the diversity of life in all its manifestations.

The first track on the EP is called "The Blue Shoeshiner" and the outstanding piano melody takes us back to a time when saloons and juke boxes still where a big thing. The two remixes by Samaha and MONKYMAN take up the basic idea of the track and give it their own flavor in a unique way.

The second track with the title "The Bride’s of Moks", tells the story of an ancient Armenian province in all its beauty and grace. Modern electronic revisions were contributed by nutia and Antaares.

As usual we want to thank all artists involved, as well as Kilian Van De Water for the outstanding artwork and Haunted Water for the flawless mastering.
