Holiday Break's rolled in and now it's time to kick the recording sessions into high gear!

Though it's covered a little too much for my opinion, I decided to do my own version of the Kirby Super Star Mini-Game theme song, Gourmet Race, specifically the one that plays in levels one and three. I used to play both that game and Super Smash Brothers quite abit before I got my Xbox 360. 

Definitely a glaring feature in this song is the complete and utter abuse of DSK's Brass VST, there are four different stems used here from the rendered out midi (which in this song is the first that I didn't use the direct Midi output in the finial mix), along with a upright piano and finally guitar and bass together again, this time they are all pretty much in harmony here (for my ears at least). There is definitely some dirty bass in this one, I couldn't resist, but I did have the problem of my kick drum getting buried in the mix, but some good leveling did the trick here.
