Lustre Kings Productions is excited to announce the "Junction Riddim”, produced by the Zion I Kings. This unique riddim boasts a wide-variety of diverse artists from current to veteran talent, while geographically employing Jamaica, US Virgin Islands, Europe and the USA. The composition is exclusive with the use of live instrumentation interspersed with elements of digital programing, dubstep basslines and hip hop production. Performed live in Jamaica at Tuff Gong Recording studio by the Zion I Kings utilizing the drumming from legendary Roots Radics member, Lincoln “Style” Scott. Zion I Kings is a production trio that has been particularly prolific over the last few years, formed from three notable reggae label heads and audio engineers; Zion High Productions, David Goldfine (bass), I Grade Records, Laurent “Tippy” Alfred (keyboards) and Lustre Kings Productions, Andrew “Moon” Bain (guitar).

The first single on the riddim, "For the Children” a combination with LK feature artist, Jahdan Blakkamoore, teamed with rising star, Kabaka Pyramid, was released last spring to great response worldwide. Some intriguing additions to the riddim are present on the full release; the legendary “Dancehall Don-Dada”, Johnny Osbourne among them! It is rare to see Johnny appear on a new release or any riddim compilation and he delivers his classic reggae styling on “We Steppin’”. Another notable combination is crafted by the brilliant Angela Hunte (Jay-Z, Major Lazer) and Holland’s talented Ziggi Recado on “Crazy is as Crazy Does”. Par for the course from Lustre Kings, the mighty Lutan Fyah comes in strong with his Rastafarian anthem “Up in the Hills” urging his community to depart the ways of Babylon and live a more natural existence. Two other names that bring a fresh energy to the riddim are up and comers, Hempress Sativa on “Still Surviving” and Bobby Hustle on “Chatty Mouth”, both making great use of the track. Other noteworthy names that appear are Pressure Busspipe, Midnite. Lloyd Brown and the ever-articulate Mr. Perfect Giddimani.

For almost two decades, Lustre Kings Productions has become synonymous with modern roots reggae music and fostering burgeoning talent. This independent label has carved a name out for itself grounded in conscious dancehall and reggae music. The “Junction Riddim” delivers on all points, once again pushing the envelope of the genre, introducing fresh faces amongst familiar ones while remaining rooted in live musicianship and forward thinking production that resounds thoughtful, creative and evocative messages.

Rockwell & Landers, aka Sebastian Röbke and Marcel Rabener are pair of hard working studio guys. The pair began DJing at the age of 16 in their home country, Germany. At that time, major raves like Mayday in Dortmund, the legendary Hanomag Event Hall in Hannover and the early Love Parades in Berlin were at the forefront of the scene. Hannover was a hotbed of activity within the electronic music world, and Sebastian and Marcel became weekly visitors to the epicentre; Crazy Tunes Record Store. 
After a few months of building a record collection, the guys began to play out under the names: "Sebastian R." and "DJ Skunk", with their debut appearance at the Plasma Raves in Vlotho and then at the Neuroserve Club in Bielefeld. With several years on the local DJ circuit under their belts, Sebastian and Marcel were invited to become residents at Clip-Clap Club/Die Mühle, Bunkerforce Minden, Q-Palace Bad Nenndorf and PW/Mind Club Porta Westfalica. It was around that time that the guys adopted the new moniker, "Rockwell & Landers", a name that would start to appear on every major event flyer as the duo became more and more prolific.
The trademark Rockwell & Landers sound is not easy to define; a hybrid of House and Techno, with emphasis on groovy bass lines and catchy elements. Sometimes deep, sometimes banging but always with passion.

The original track, ‘A Girl Like You’ by Edwin Collins is a classic piece of music that throughout his childhood had influenced Dreadsquad without him even realising it and then when in his later years he heard it played in a taxi he knew right away that he had to make a Reggae version of it. It’s this relationship with the song that makes this cover authentic.

The lyrics are strong and unique whilst the melody is infectious, and the way that Blackout delivers the song with his rough, raspy tone gives a whole new angle for everyone who hears it to enjoy. It’s the first time that Blackout has recorded a cover and it’s one of two love songs that feature on their album ‘World Destruction’.

Dreadsquad - Poland's staple Reggae Dancehall export


The Dreadsquad project has put Poland on the map for creating dancefloor friendly riddim and bassline madness. From the Superfly Studio in Lodz comes tune after tune combining Jamaican sounds of of Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Ska and Rocksteady with the modern sounds of Breakbeat, Jungle, Dubstep and Garage.


Dreadsquad was launched during 2001 and what followed was a flurry of mashups, remixes and Polish Sound Clash victories which gave confidence to turn a passion into a way of life for the man at the controls, Marek Bogdanski. Hundreds of gigs in Poland turned into European tours and now Dreadsquad has toured as far as the USA, Canada, Brazil & India.


Always in demand, Dreadsquad has worked with plenty of top Jamaican and European artists including Ward 21, Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, U Brown, Milion Stylez, Lady Chann, Tipa Irie, Jah Mason, Perfect Giddimani, Dr Ring Ding…the list goes on.


So far Dreadsquad has released 4 mixtapes, 4 full-length producer albums and a host of vinyl and digital singles which made it into the top of the best DJ shops in Europe and into the playlists of the premier DJs of the world.

The Dreadsquad sound is a worldwide sound taking influence and inspiration from all walks of life. It is glued together by Jamaican Soundsystem culture and modern Bass music culture and is a force to be reckoned with.
