Second to lead a simulated experience for the Virtual Utopia series is Faery [BRISTOL, UK]. During this 83-minute program, you will be guided through a mystic’s interpretation of our universe. Modern physics suggests existence is a 'neural network' of interconnected, vibrating particles (Quantum Entanglement) where everything exists in relation to everything else. Alternatively, in eastern philosophy; the organic world resonates on a certain frequency, a mutual hum, illustrated as the 'Dance of Shiva'. Could this cosmic dance be the same phenomena they are analysing in atomic physics?

Virtual Utopia 02: Faery

To guide us through the next simulated experience; Passing Notes Radio boss and 1/2 of the great new label ‘Companion', Pjenné [Melbourne, AUS], shows us what a utopian existence can sound, feel and look like.

Follow on as she glides through the stratosphere, looking down on the lush greenery and crystal water that our earth effortlessly inhabits... occasionally looking up into the vast display of distant stars and planets, glittering across the stillness of outer space.

Pjenné beautifully illustrates the phenomenology of nature through tracks which touch on each element, whether that be the ethereality of air, the intricacy of water, the depth of earth, or just the pure warmth flowing through this immaculately thought-out audible narrative.

We couldn’t help but think this would be the perfect soundtrack for the day peace on earth is declared, where humanity sits back and appreciates a new world— where collectively, we love what grows, exists and dies.

This small blue dot is our home… our balanced oasis in the desert of space. Perhaps we need the ability to fly to see a different perspective - and we’re sure this will help.

Pilotting the next installment of the Virtual Utopia series is Seven Hills Records (@seven-hills-records), a dual-cored unit residing right in the central processor of the UK, London. Whether it be their DJ sets, or their stellar lineup of releases as a label, these lot really know how to propel you into the future and past at the same time.

This hour long simulated audio-experience takes us from walking endless corridors of cold brushed steel; to wandering the metallic planes of a dusted-chrome retro-futurist world, somewhere on an outdated version of a open-world virtual reality, all whilst being seamlessly embedded with earthy, grounding, organic sub-frequencies that remind us we are still actually living beings.

Travelling through internet cables, with the squeaks and bleeps of passing electrons. Quantum delays and such speeds that cause blurred vision. Groove-infused electronic signals destined for a far alien reciever. All this combined with the immaculate taste and organic sound of Seven Hills makes this an hour of pure 5-star time-decoration.

Virtual Utopia 04: Seven Hills Records

Next to contribute to the Virtual Utopia series is Melbourne-based Sommi (@sommmi) who’s airborne, breaks-infused sound has really resonated with us in the Corporation since we heard his mix at the dawn of the 13th Chime series. 

This 60-minute program guides us through various landscapes, soundscapes and dreamscapes- beginning with a deep meditative introduction that feels like staring endlessly into a misty valley of crystalline refraction. Moving forward, we hover through views of lush surroundings and trickling waters, where Sommi really compliments the sounds of spring.

Gliding past smooth unknown structures of brushed aluminium, the metallic shades reflect the spectrum of existence back at you. A true ascension into a virtual universe. A pneumatic dream-world of mechanical efficiency. What a utopia earth could be.

During the program we will delve deep into a 3D simulated forest, an endless array of fractal trees and vegetation, rendered real-time. It all seems so realistic, until you look closely and see the edges of everything is pixelated.

Looking up at looping digital skies on seamlessly installed LCD screens. You open your eyes.

Hamburg-based @melina_dj stands for a timeless, unpredictable and energetic music selection. With her affinity for old school beats from the UK (where her journey began), Chicago and Detroit, she creates an unique groove. This gave her various residencies in her hometown such as PAL or Uebel & Gefährlich. In the last three years there have also been countless appearances all over Germany, Europe and the whole globe (Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Australia or Lebanon). Together with Jakob Seidensticker, Boronas and Snad, she founded the label We R The Aliens in 2019, on which Melina, in addition to artists such as Katie Drover, Chklte, Markus Sommer, published tracks herself, followed by releases on labels such as Housewax and Feuilleton showing her musical way.

This program aims to imitate the sensation of drifting consciously into the never-ending centre point of focus. Within the initial section you will be greeted by an artificial-intelligence 'DEEP-DREAM™' avatar who will lift you out of earths stratosphere and into distant realities,  then will guide you through chromatic fractal hallways where yourself reflects back at you infinite times, optimised for introspection.

Tunneling endlessly through squiggly acid lines that travel through you like plasma, a macro-dosed journey through utopian visions and future civilisations,  an interlaced groove keeps this simulation a high-vibe-emitter from start to finish.  Emulating the sensation of travelling through an internet cable, spanning genres but still maintaining light speed progression.

Nera has provided an explorative, espionage mission to discover metallic artefacts of otherworldy materials. Throughout the mission there is ability to discover the distant expanse of the known universe, yet inspect the unfathomable dimensions of whats beyond the molecule.

Our friend @Djedjotronic delight us with a obscure Electro, EBM and acid mix, big big respect for his career and he is one of the artists who has been supporting Italo Moderni since the beginning, there is enormous respect in everything he has done for Electronic music. A true legend in the scene.
Always delivering that stunning and hot mix of Electro, EBM and acid. Along with The Hacker, Maelstrom and Umwelt among  others tops producers from France he's on the top of this game.

IM MIX 100: Djedjotronic

Butter Sessions is one of those labels that can go absolutely anywhere and still make sense because theres an element that tags it down to the ears of Sleep D aka Maryos Syawish and Corey Kikos. The two label heads behind the absolutely iconic institution straight outta Melbourne, Australia have worked with aritsts like Roza Terenzi, D.Tiffany, Tornado Wallace, Yuzo Iwata and more creating a platform for upcoming and solidly established artists to broaden their sound and explore into the unknown. Like the artists they represent Sleep D as DJ's and producers have touched all sides of the club and eclectic spectrum having dropped many anthem filled 12's(including a very solid LP on Anthony Naples' Incienso) as well as experimental outings on labels like Play On Records. 
For Off The Record #37 Syawish and Kikos have dropped us straight into the elements of the main room. A smoke machine filled warehouse of house, techno, bass and percussive club rolling excursions. Strap yourself in(or don't?).

Such an unexplored, obscure entity has such a huge impact on our entire existence, which seems fascinating and frightening at the same time. But don’t despair! Our adept Nera is here to explore the dark phenomenon from all angles. 

Hailing from the outskirts of Amsterdam, Nera is managing editor of the renowned platform Minimal Collective, which fruitfully operates at the intersection of music, art and technology. But not only that: She also leaves her mark on the scene with her own musical vision and her well-balanced selections of psychedelic rhythms and progressive gems with perfectly timed trips into the depths of layered emotive basslines.

Nera lifts off with repetetive and minimalist structures that get soon combined with eerie atmospheres. With the addition of more playful sounds this mix gradually builds up into a mind-bending story that visits a variety of uncharted cosmic locations, culminating in heavy bassline drivers topped by intense psychedelics. In the process, Nera is developing her very own interpretation of dark hypnotism with great class. Nomen est omen!
