Gift of the Notes:
Tendrils of memories
that tease from days gone by.
Whispers of notes so sweet
that bring a tear to the eye.
Who will make these sounds
that bring such joy to the soul?
Well I , said the heart,
I'll play the biggest role.
For the breath taken away
by the moments profound,
the grass and the granite
where the footsteps tread ground.
Things just imagined
and things that were real
were all mixed together
to become what we feel
It's the sum
of all that we've lived,
put together in the notes,
It's the gift that you give.

Das Geschenk der Noten:
Ranken von Erinnerungen
die aus vergangenen Tagen locken.
Geflüster von so süßen Noten
die einem die Tränen in die Augen treiben.
Wer wird diese Klänge machen
die so viel Freude in die Seele bringen?
Nun, ich, sagte das Herz,
Ich werde die größte Rolle spielen.
Für den Atem, der weggenommen wird
durch die tiefgründigen Momente,
das Gras und der Granit
wo die Fußstapfen den Boden betreten.
Dinge, die man sich nur einbildet
und Dinge, die real waren
wurden alle miteinander vermischt
um das zu werden, was wir fühlen
