The Idea Tea is Dave Thompson. The aim here is purely and simply to "brew idea tea", the explore musical ideas regardless of genre, to collaborate with musicians purely in the name of enjoyment and musical creation and generally to create tracks which sound awesome.

As far as genre, it's difficult to go down the route of saying what I do is genre-less. A more accurate description would be anything goes, with an electronic twist. My roots are in playing jazz, funk, rock, reggae, psychedelic guitar, and those influences certainly come through in my choices. I like to combine sonic synthesis, synthesisers, guitars, various types of drums, and granular synthesis. Analogue warmth with digital insanity. Organic musicianship with digital editing. Old and the new. Ying and the yang. 

This is all REALLY old stuff on here. Not recorded seriously in years really. Will try to get some new stuff up here at some point.
