In this special 3.5 hours EOYC set, I take you through the journey across the tracks that traversed us into deep surreal heights in 2013. A thorough emphasis on Progression beckons, going from 100 - 142 BPM. There is indeed something for everyone, but it has been an amazing year for underground EDM, with a staggering amount of talent in the progressive field. Its also good to see 140 bpm tech trance back in good health and carnage will certainly be expected after tiding through melodic deep juxtapositions.

EOYC 2013 ~ Traversing Progression (100 - 142 bpm)

Thank you all for the support and guidance in my musical journey thus far. This End of Year Celebration (EOYC) mix is dedicated to all of you. Enjoy the journey across Progressive, Trance and Techno into the deepest depths and hypnotic mysticality. This mix also features a new track of mine, and a number of special ethnically influenced track edits and mashups.

Dr Foo - AH FM Mix for Singapore Day & End of Year Deep Mix 2014

This mix represents a culmination of changes within that have taken place since the end of last year, and a host of inner messages and awakenings that I wish to share with everyone. Riding on the beautiful recent trip to GIli Islands, I have been deep in the mix for more than 2 months to concoct the cacophony of sounds, mantras and consciousness elevating influences from different cultures and realms. I have always said that music serves a higher purpose of healing and elevating, and this is the primary thrust of the mix. This mix shall immerse you on a journey like no other through the sacred vibrational flows of sound. Ultimately, this also signifies the underlying purpose of darkness as an honest palette to the realisation that we are all beings of light, capable of spreading much needed divinity to the world.

Indeed, there has been a fundamental change in the primary emotions and energy used to create this mix. Previous driving forces of anger and destruction have been replaced by compassion, spirituality and hypnotic wonder. 

This mix will serve as a reflection of the quest for greater meaning and purpose in our lives - The search for dharma and reason for being. The understanding of greater forces out there that can serve as our spiritual compass. The peaceful understanding of Oneness amidst diversity. The appreciation of beauty that manifests in different forms. The sacred wisdom  of Buddha, Vedic philosophy, ethnic cultures, scriptures and religions. The notion of peace across humanity when we let go of negative emotions/things/people and appreciate the beauty of all. The awakening of an inner understanding of immense power within, with boundless connections to the universe. The concept of being in flow and activation of your Chakras. The grand duty of serving and helping humanity achieve this state of peace and higher consciousness. Listen to this wherever and use it to dance, groove, work, meditate, reflect or do yoga.

We are all spiritual beings having a human experience through the mind - body vehicle. The soul is eternal, a part of the universe, experiencing human experiences through the human body. The cycle of life and death ensures that we come from the same source. We are more than what we appear to be. Ethereal Transformation (6 hour Prognosis for the soul)

I am pleased to present the first part of my 6 hour Journey "Ethereal Transformation". We begin by journeying towards our heart centre - here we access the boundless connection to the universe and the realisation of the power of compassion. I have had some amazing soul enriching trips over the past year, and trips to Varanasi and Bali in particular have opened certain realisations within.

We are all essentially beings of light. Love is what we are born with, fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts.  Start seeing the divine possibilities, Elevate yourself and help those in need :) Appreciate the notion of peace across humanity when we let go of negative emotions/things/people and appreciate the beauty of all. As we wind down the journey, we reflect on the multitude of spiritual insights, memories and emotions of our lives. Flowing into the thoughtless state, moving gradually into the beatless realm of surreality. One realises everything moves in cycles, the concept of Samsara. The End is the Beginning in the Karmic Wheel.

Ethereal Transformation Part 4 ~ Samsara: The End is the Beginning

Sek Sheng, also known by his artist name ‘Dr Foo’, is a sound meditation facilitator, musician and DJ who holds space and prescribes music for healing and integration of deeper aspects of the self. He has immersed in and been trained in sound healing, yoga, meditation and music production in an ever evolving journey in the past 10 years.

Dr Foo believes that sound is a universal language that can re-awaken our innate power and connection with all, and serve as a fun yet sacred medium for healing and understanding. His journeys emphasise the importance of owning our darkness before true healing and expansion can occur.  

His sound healing journeys interweave live therapeutic instruments (singing bowls, harp, melodic drums etc) with electronic music (hypnotic synths, binaural beats), nature sounds, ethnic music and mantras across cultures. It is a reflection of his journey starting as an underground club DJ in Melbourne to immersing in yogic journeys in India & Bali, and then realising the power of sound for therapy.  

In recent years he has curated soundscapes for yoga and meditation events, full & new moon sound healing journeys as well as ecstatic/conscious dance events.
