Prognosis 09 ~ The Deep End Exclusive

Sek Sheng, also known by his artist name ‘Dr Foo’, is a sound meditation facilitator, musician and DJ who holds space and prescribes music for healing and integration of deeper aspects of the self. He has immersed in and been trained in sound healing, yoga, meditation and music production in an ever evolving journey in the past 10 years.

Dr Foo believes that sound is a universal language that can re-awaken our innate power and connection with all, and serve as a fun yet sacred medium for healing and understanding. His journeys emphasise the importance of owning our darkness before true healing and expansion can occur.  

His sound healing journeys interweave live therapeutic instruments (singing bowls, harp, melodic drums etc) with electronic music (hypnotic synths, binaural beats), nature sounds, ethnic music and mantras across cultures. It is a reflection of his journey starting as an underground club DJ in Melbourne to immersing in yogic journeys in India & Bali, and then realising the power of sound for therapy.  

In recent years he has curated soundscapes for yoga and meditation events, full & new moon sound healing journeys as well as ecstatic/conscious dance events.

A musician in every aspect of his life. Undaunting, and evolving. His taste and thirst for musical knowledge is unimaginable.

Prior to electronic dance music, his musical inspirations are on to Alternative, Rock, RnB and Hiphop, and Reggae roots. As times passed, his music senses began a switch. Started listening to mixtapes in the year 2002, with influences with the likes of Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Solarstone, Ferry Corsten, Vincent de Moor to name a few.

With years of listening experience, it's time to take his musical ears to the next level.

International DJ and producer, host of Progressions Radio and seasonal resident of Monstercat Silk Showcase. Producing music since 2012, his goal and dream was to be able to showcase the music he loves to the people in the clubs and that dream materialized in 2014 during his DJ debut during JOOF Editions in Warsaw, Poland alongside John 00 Fleming. Since then, Dozens of original productions and remixes under Polish artist belt both supported by wide variety of DJs around the globe (including Above & Beyond's Group Therapy, Markus Schulz's Global DJ Broadcast or Paul van Dyk's Vonyc Sessions to name a few) and regularly charting on Beatport Trance and Progressive House combined with an own style of building up, storytelling and creating a special kind of emotional connection with clubbers when behind the decks have brought him to play at some iconic festivals and venues like Luminosity Beach Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, Summerlake Festival, club Progresja in Warsaw, club Panama in Amsterdam as well as to take over the guest mix duties on some famous trance radio shows like John 00 Fleming's Global Trance Grooves (2016) and Jaytech's Jaytech Music Podcast (2018). 2017 and 2018 saw him as the finalist in the DJ competitions organised by well renowned electronic dance music brands: first Tomorrowland and then Anjunabeats, adding an appearance in Pure Trance Radio 100 celebrations and Pure Trance 6 compilation with his own "Why We Fall" to the list of his career highlights. 
The expectations for 2019 were set high and continued studio work along with DJ skills and #progressionsfamily community building resulted in 4th appearance at Luminosity Beach Festival followed by first ever meet up with a broader group of people sharing the same passion for the sounds of progressions after his set. Few months after this, the DJ from Krakow marked an impressive appearance on the milestone Pure Trance Radio 200 Expanded, inviting listeners to take a deep dive into his carefully crafted and flawless 4-hour set which followed the main event hosted by Solarstone in the famous ASOT studio in Amsterdam. Adding remix of the legendary Airwave & Armin van Buuren's track "Sunspot" (Bonzai Progressive), a critically acclaimed vocal track with Sweden's own Linnea Schossow "Cast A Spell On Me" (Elliptical Sun Recordings) which received 300+ entries in the remix contest hosted by the label and the artists themselves and making a debut on Colorize with an equally impressive contributions to a brand new compilation series called "Colorscapes Vol. 01" amongst many other highlights, Andromedha managed to keep the momentum from previous years going. Speaking of momentum, since 2016, he also appeared on every milestone Silk Music Showcase and Only Silk compilation becoming one of the core artists of the label that keeps defining intelligent and emotional electronic music. 
Despite the global domination of streaming platforms in the world of electronic music, Andromedha's tracks have been also released on CDs and vinyls which proves that hard work and consistency pay off. Not only his productions have been signed by some of the finest trance labels of now - Solarstone's Pure Trance, Aly & Fila's Future Sound of Egypt, Colorize (Enhanced Music) or Silk Music - but they have also caught attention of the people behind legendary imprints with 20+ years of history like Bonzai Progressive, JOOF Recordings and Planet Love Records, adding up to an impressive catalogue of the Krakow-based DJ and producer.

DarkTek, was born in the 70s. Influenced by artists like Depeche Mode, New Order and such , at the age of 15 began to dabble in the electronic music. At the beginning was very interested in techno, and began to make his first sets, mixing tracks from artists like Carl cox, Jeff Mills among others. 
At the age of 16 he acquired his first professional equipments and was completely dedicated in find new sounds in the electronic music. This concern led him to find in Progressive House his sounds of preference, listening to artists like Moshic and others artists. 
Since then, Darktek began a journey of no return with that genre, so he started his experience in the music production. His work quickly bowed to a musical level more under and complex. Touring the subgenres of Progressive House (Deep, Dark & Tribal Progressive). With ethnic and avant-garde sounds, was always highlighting the distance and vanguard in his mixes.
