I had the honour of doing a guest mix for my friends at Time Differences Radio in 2015. I have huge respect for them because they only support the best of pure, underground Progressive House - music that evokes soul, depth, creativity and raw emotions like no other. It still only feels like yesterday that I made the mix because these are all tunes that come from within and really took me to the next level of Progressive expansion. This mix captures a full emotive progression, deep journey, melodic contours of the soul, sprinkled with traces of ethnic roots that serves true to date.

Time Differences Radio (Dr Foo Guest Mix)- Episode 157

Sek Sheng, also known by his artist name ‘Dr Foo’, is a sound meditation facilitator, musician and DJ who holds space and prescribes music for healing and integration of deeper aspects of the self. He has immersed in and been trained in sound healing, yoga, meditation and music production in an ever evolving journey in the past 10 years.

Dr Foo believes that sound is a universal language that can re-awaken our innate power and connection with all, and serve as a fun yet sacred medium for healing and understanding. His journeys emphasise the importance of owning our darkness before true healing and expansion can occur.  

His sound healing journeys interweave live therapeutic instruments (singing bowls, harp, melodic drums etc) with electronic music (hypnotic synths, binaural beats), nature sounds, ethnic music and mantras across cultures. It is a reflection of his journey starting as an underground club DJ in Melbourne to immersing in yogic journeys in India & Bali, and then realising the power of sound for therapy.  

In recent years he has curated soundscapes for yoga and meditation events, full & new moon sound healing journeys as well as ecstatic/conscious dance events.

Né en 1974 ,Dj en résidence dès 1997 ; découverte des premiers morceaux new wave en 1984 puis tombé dans la techno dès la fin des années en tant qu'auditeur, Zian passe ensuite derrière les platines  . 1997 est une année charnière avec la découverte du pur son tribal house de l'époque . Les premières platines vinyles arrivent rapidement  pour passer l'étape supérieure . A partir de 2005  un tournant musical avec des sons ethno , lunge et trance  dans les sets apparait.
