We are happy to present to you the first ever release on the new label Falling Star Erotica. FSE will be a dedicated charity-only label that endeavors to release quality music across all genres. For our first release we will be sending all proceeds from the album to Heart to Heart International, a charity that strengthens communities through improving health access, providing humanitarian development and administering crisis relief worldwide.

Working in Lisbon electronic music's most modern and enticing fringes since 2006, Maria Amor's story is intertwined with naive and naivety from even before the get-go: her influence and support helped shape these labels and their sound, so it's with enormous love + respect that we release her first solo EP, with the fittingly poetic title 'Her Roses Dance Louder Than Tears'. 

In this EP, bold, future-facing production goes hand in hand with melodic incantations - experimentation peeks at every corner, and even Maria Amor's own vocals flourish in both textural and lyrical ways. Her active role in her hometown as a careful selector and word-spreader (is this a proper word?) for genres like dubstep, club, uk funky, uk garage and beyond timelessly transpires in her current sound, which nevertheless remains highly personal, brave and outstanding.

The producers from Brisbane returns with a digital self-released four track EP titled ‘Cortisol’. Approaching this project with the intent to explore new sounds and ideas in a different direction from previous projects, Joe once again focuses on merging various genres and production techniques, this time with an emphasis on ambient and bass music.

‘When you encounter a perceived threat — such as a large dog barking at you during your morning walk — your hypothalamus, a tiny region at your brain's base, sets off an alarm system in your body. Through a combination of nerve and hormonal signals, this system prompts your adrenal glands, located atop your kidneys, to release a surge of hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol.
Adrenaline increases your heart rate, elevates your blood pressure and boosts energy supplies. Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, increases sugars (glucose) in the bloodstream, enhances your brain's use of glucose and increases the availability of substances that repair tissues.
Cortisol also curbs functions that would be nonessential or detrimental in a fight-or-flight situation. It alters immune system responses and suppresses the digestive system, the reproductive system and growth processes. This complex natural alarm system also communicates with the brain regions that control mood, motivation and fear.’
