We are super excited to present the 142nd episode from @aumrecordings co-founder TENO!

TENO is a DJ and producer currently based in Osaka, who has been making a strong impact on the techno scene in recent years through both his DJ sets and productions. His activities now extend not only throughout Japan but also across Europe, China, and other parts of Asia.

On the international podcast circuit, he was featured as the first artist in the new FOWRE series on Eerste Communie, curated by Marrøn, one of the world’s leading DJs based in the Netherlands. He has also contributed mixes to labels such as Polygonia’s IO Records, Nebuleus, Reverse, Tensione Collective, and CONCEPTUAL VIOLENCE.

As a producer, TENO continues to release music on labels around the globe. Through his own techno label Aum Recordings, he released an EP featuring a remix by Munich-based artist Polygonia. Additionally, he collaborated with world-renowned DJ Wata Igarashi, who contributed a remix for TENO’s first vinyl EP, DONT CRY OVER SPILLED MILK.

In February 2025, TENO launched a second label, Monos, with the aim of expressing his unique artistic identity. The label has already released the Violet EP and Primrose EP, with the Yuugao EP set to follow soon.

At the peak of our longest event to date on Saturday, January 18th 2025, a NYC-based selector stepped into the booth at Masada to tell a story: a journey of tension and release, brimming with emotion and passion, a romance that lingered in our memories long after. We are beyond thrilled to mark the 100th instalment of CLOSERcast with none other than Holden Federico’s live recording of his 3-hour Masada set, to immerse ourselves into that beautiful, graceful and moving experience once more.

Philly-born, New York-based producer and DJ Holden Federico is dedicated to reimagining techno by pushing its core elements to bold new extremes. His productions carry a driving low-end energy, rich thematic layers, and dub-infused detailing, all underpinned by grit and soul. And so we go on with the the next Techno Minded Hero! In this case 2 guys from Amsterdam the Netherlands. One of these artists has already delivered us with a really wicked Liveset. We are very happy to welcome back Karel Eggerding aka Rustig on the show, this time together with his partner in crime Jules Rever as RUR.

Last year they just released their first album called H+ filled with obscure dark techno and pitch shifted vocals!. Together with the visual artist from Drone Existence, V-Motions and RUR created a full Audio/Visualshow that blew everbody's mind when they did there first gig.
