This time we are staying close to home for our next Techno Minded Hero, he is part of a new generation of fresh dutch talents. He came on our radar through his album “II” on Mike Wall’s Wallmusic. (https://soundcloud.com/saamnl/ii-album).

In 2016, he released two tracks on Paul boex’s (of Abstract Division) Dynamic Reflection, and has other release’s under his belt on Monocline Records, Kompleks Recordings. His productions are supported and played by some of biggest artist’s, on some of the biggest festival’s out there.

Since 2013 he is performing as a liveact, and brought his impulsive melodic techno to places like Tresor and Club Basis.

In march of next year he will be performing at Soenda, one of the bigger indoor techno festival’s here in Holland. He will be sharing the line-up with names like Ben Klock, Luke Slater, Dax J, Vril, Clouds, Etapp Kyle, SNTS among others. So if you have the chance, go check him out there, you won’t be disappointed.

Biography
Saam (real name Sam Vermeer) is a Techno DJ / Producer / Live act from the Netherlands. He grew up living in a small town called Koedijk (near Alkmaar). At age seven he started playing the guitar and quickly developed further musical interest. So, at age 13, Saam started DJing. He bought two turntables and a mixer and started taking weekly DJ lessons. In the beginning Saam played vinyl only, but after three years he started to play cd’s as well. At this moment he started to get familiar with Techno tracks and started to develop his own style.
From this moment, Saam also began to produce his own tracks in Ableton Live. He produced his first Techno tracks in 2012, which led to multiple EP releases on labels like Wall Music (Mike Wall’s imprint). In 2015 Saam released his second album, also on the Berlin-based label Wall Music. In 2016 he signed 2 tracks at the Utrecht-based Dynamic Reflection.

Saam gets his inspiration from various analog synthesizers and drum computers, like the Roland TR-909 and the Roland SH-101. Nowadays he has a studio in Amsterdam, where he has his own collection of analog equipment. With this hardware, he creates his dark, whipping, tripping, Berlin style cuts.
2013 was the year when Saam started to perform live acts. In these live sets he exclusively uses his own tracks or remixes by himself. This act contains live drum computers, loads of MIDI controllers and more outboard equipment. This way Saam has a lot more to do on stage, as well as it allows him to have a better interaction with the crowd.
His production receive massive support from some great artists like Chris Liebing, DVS1, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, Mike Wall, Dr. Motte and more. This support eventually led to some interesting gigs at events like Schönes Wochenende and clubs like Tresor (Berlin) and Paradiso

In 2006 heeft een aantal mensen het initiatief genomen om een regelmatig terugkerende Dance Party op de volwassen uitgaans agende van De jongste stad van Nederland, Almere, te plaatsen. Onder de naam "Roekeloos" werden de Party's georganiseerd. Het werden relaxte feesten en vooral bezocht door de liefhebbers uit Almere en omgeving. Lekkere en vooruitstrevende House en Techhouse brulde uit de speakers. En is sinds dien uitgegroeit tot de meest gezellige en roekeloze event Almere en omstreken. De party's zijn exclusief en zonder regelmaat. De tip is dan ook: Hou de website en de social pages in de gaten.

Roekeloos streeft er naar om de kwaliteit in de line-up te verhogen. Het concept RKLS (roekeloos) staat niet voor niets garant voor kwaliteit wat betreft muziek & DJ 's.
