For MelFerdi, a perfect opening set is all about creating a hypnotic atmosphere that draws the audience into the night’s journey. As the owner and resident DJ of Between Dusk & Dawn on AMW.FM, MelFerdi has seen countless DJs bring their unique styles to the decks, offering him a wealth of inspiration and insight. MelFerdi’s love for music began in childhood, sparked by a single music video that captivated him and ignited his lifelong passion for house music and DJing.

Over the years, he gravitated toward groove-heavy techno, a genre where he felt most at home. His signature sound blends percussive beats, driving rhythms, and a touch of funk to create sets that feel like conversations between these elements. Each performance is designed to unite people on the dancefloor, fostering moments of connection and euphoria. Although Vromo has been listening to all kinds of electronic genres throughout his life, it was not long ago that he was introduced to Techno.
 
The endless experimentation and intense atmospheres are some of the aspects that attracted him to the genre. Getting more and more into Techno, he got less interested in modern styles of techno and delve into older vinyl records. Most of them were not released digitally, which resulted in a playing style defined by the 1991-2005 era.
 
Looking for tracks with a strong character and an exciting twist, a track can pop out based on specific elements with changing energy’s and atmospheres.
 
For this set Vromo made a great selection of records he mixed into a journey filled with technical highlights and intensity.
