Welcome to the 13th episode of The Gekiga podcast. For today’s set, it’s my honor and pleasure to welcome my comrade, and homie NWHR. 

The term “prodigy” gets tossed around a lot, and in most cases it’s a meaningless descriptor, but with Franco there’s no doubt in my mind it not only applies but underestimates his talents. 

As a producer in his early twenties, his resume already puts guys twice his age to shame. Having dropped masterpieces on Bas Mooy’s MORD Records, ØM’s WARM-UP label, a double vinyl on the incredible Nachtstrom Schallplatten (where I had the honor to contribute the cover art), Illegal Alien Records, [R]3volution Records, Prophet Recordings, a collaborative LP with the underground icon Kolpos, and on and on and on. There’s no one who has accumulated the level of respect and appreciation from the best of the best in such a short time and at such a young age. 

Today’s set is a journey through dark, hypnotic textures and assertive rhythms that only Franco can deliver. To have such a sophisticated, defined artistic signature so early in his career is mind boggling and I’m here to support, witness, and cheer my brother every step of the way.

Guliver is all about deep, dark, boundary-pushing soundscapes.
With Sicilian roots and a Berlin base, he crafts sets that blend experimental electronic and dark ambient sounds, creating an experience that's both hypnotic and intense.
Both his productions and mixes pulse with raw energy and a mystical edge, drawing inspiration from contemporary, cutting-edge techno as well as early 2000's influences.
Guliver's cinematic style invites one on an immersive journey filled with intricate textures and captivating rhythms.
Guliver's journey began in West Sicily, where he performed in 2011/12 before expanding to Malta and northern Italy. After moving to London in 2015, he became a regular at the "Jaded Afterparty" at Corsica Studios.
Now based in Berlin, he has played at renowned venues such as Griessmühle, Suicide Circus, OXI, and Renate. In 2022, Guliver joined the collective and started his residency at the Berlin/Cologne-based event series "Playhaus".

While his deep, dark, and raw Spanish-flavored techno remains his main driving force, he also moves comfortably into house and minimal, showing a wide yet cohesive musical range. His latest techno mix captures that same uncompromising energy—hypnotic grooves, gritty textures, and a steadily intensifying flow.

South African artist Deano grew up immersed in his local music scene, shaping a diverse sound that moves between house and techno. Beyond producing solo EPs on labels like Hardgroove, Symbolism, AWRY and Sungate, he runs the label and events platform Knowledge Imprint, known for pushing forward both emerging talents and respected veterans.

Deano is a resident at Cape Town’s Mødular Club and a regular at Johannesburg’s TOY TOY. Known for a versatile selection spanning house to techno, he’s played across South Africa’s leading festivals and taken his sound to clubs in Berlin, Tokyo, Lisbon and beyond.

The dynamic and relentless energy of his sound, whether on the decks or in the studio, traverses a crossroads of hypnotic drums, enveloping soundscapes, and gritty synthesis. Having shared stages with many industry heavyweights over the years, Ramsey's DJ sets are a masterclass in rhythm and groove, keeping the dance floor locked in from start to finish. Along with his artist project, Ramsey runs Brooklyn-based record label and collective, IMPULSE CØNTROL, which just had its third release, as well as curated showcases in Berlin, Amsterdam, and NYC.
