Our rebel talent from Ohio, throws down a funky techno live performance James Johnson Jr AKA Plural is one exceptionally talented electronic music producer, composer and DJ known across the world for his hard techno sound. His calm demeanour belies the massive amounts of energy he creates in his highly technical DJ sets, and the ethereal beauty of his live performances with many top-flight DJs swearing by his output, dropping his tracks relentlessly throughout their sets. He grew up in the 80’s listening mostly to soul, RnB and hip-hop. He knew he wanted to follow a musical path, but because he couldn’t rap or sing and was more interested in the beats he decided to become a DJ. His early inspiration came from amazing artists like Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Herby Handcock and Public Enemy. after becoming a DJ and discovering so many more styles of music out there, especially techno, it was Jeff Mills, Claude Young, DJ Stingray and The Horrorist to name a few that held his awe.

Needless to introduce James Shaw, alias Sigha, so much the British producer has established a name synonymous with utmost quality when it comes to shaping new forms for electronics, piling up choice releases for Hotflush, Token, Avian and his own imprint Our Circular Sound. Unflinchingly innovative and clinical in his approach towards both DJing and production, Sigha clocks in our series with two-hours spanning most of the variegated post-modernist flavours he’s come to advocate, fusing an enduring taste for reconfigured dubstep tropes, a stripped-down, melancholic 4x4 syntax and above all, that alchemical mixing science that attests to the power of music as a shapeless drive belt for the most fathomless kind of human emotion.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ OLIVER WAY

EPM’s co-founder and one half of the Detroit Grand Pubahs, Oliver Way has spent the best part of a quarter century promoting and pushing other artists, currently managing Robert Hood, Floorplan, Eddie Fowlkes, James Ruskin & Mark Broom.
Oliver has been a recognised figure in the Techno scene for some time. As a DJ since 1991 when he began working a record shop called Bass Box ( owned by legendary rave organisation Raindance ), and later subsequently releasing under his own name in 1998 on Urban Substance Records before joining the Electro / Techno / Funk outfit Detroit Grand Pubahs in 2002. 
Taking up the pseudonym ( The Mysterious ) Mr O he produced alongside Paris the Black FU for their own label Detelefunk label. More recently he has collaborated with Ben Long ( Space DJz ) on numerous releases and provided remixes for labels like Torque, Engineroom, Beard Man and BulletDodge Records.
His debut solo album was released in 2018 titled ‘From The Shadows’ on the EPM Music imprint.

Dinámico y evolutivo son los adjetivos que mejor definitivamente a este experimentado Deejay y productor madrileño.

Desde su adolescencia, Iñaki Villasante vive con gran intensidad la música electrónica y su mundo. Su gran ímpetu por situarse ante cualquier situación donde se conjugue cabina y público le lleva a actuar clubes donde impera el sonido EBM del momento, influenciado por grupos como kraftwerk, Front 242 o Nitzer Ebb. En seguida toma contacto con sonidos psicodélicos provenientes de países como Bélgica o Alemania, en esta etapa su carrera empieza a despegar y prueba de ello son sus actuaciones en una de las salas más relevantes del momento: Epsilon.

En 1998 ingresa como residente en uno de los Clubes más importantes de la escena electrónica española: Van vas, donde se consagra como Deejay y consolida su técnica y estilo dentro del Techno. En este mismo club, participa en sesiones de gran calibre como el primer Tresor Night celebrado en España. Al cierre de Van vas, Iñaki ya es una realidad.

En el año 2003 ficha por Rxxistance, en este mismo año su agenda se desborda ante las peticiones de diversos clubes. Dando rienda suelta a su creatividad, Iñaki se embarca en el mundo de la producción, compaginándolo con sus estudios de postproducción de audio y de técnico de sonido.

Siguiendo ese instinto de inquietud temprana, decide crear otro sello discográfico, como aliado, cuenta con su compañero y amigo Ivan-L.

El nombre de esta nueva plataforma es Dual Breathing, el vinilo no está en muy buen momento, pero la primera referencia es tan atractiva que el número de ventas es muy alto. Su constancia y esfuerzo en el estudio le llevan a firmar dos EP con el sello portugués Naked Lunch en el cual se han publicado referencias de muchos de los artistas más importantes de la escena: A.Paul (Propietario del mismo), The Advent (kombination Research), Industrialyzer (Code Works), Bas Mooy (Audio Assault) y un largo etc. Durante este periodo trabaja con diferentes sellos nacionales e internacionales, También aparecen sus tracks en varias recopilaciones de cd's. A partir de 2011 es fichado por la agencia Delta Bookings, donde comparte roster con Dj’s de la talla de: Dj Pepo, Stoned Baby, Bas Mooy, Pacou, Joton, Event 7 y Jose Pouj entre otros.

En este proyecto hay una serie de eventos programados en el que contarán con la participación de diferentes artistas nacionales e internacionales. Para 2012 ha firmado con varios sellos, como Naked Lunch, Amigos Records (Un Rmx de Iñaki de un track del Portugués Dj Link), Industrial Records, Disclosure,Dual, Breathing y un largo etc.

 Como veterano residente de unas de las marcas más destacadas del Techno, la ya mencionada, Rxxistance, durante más de dieciséis años, en el año 2017, con todos los artistas que forman el Roster, le lleva a actuar, con su propio escenario, en “El Bosque Encantado”, en la veintiuna edición del festival Aquasella. En 2018, se embarca en una nueva aventura, sus propios eventos, “Disclosure Showcase” y, continúa editando material en sus dos plataformas, Disclosure Records y Dual Breathing. Recién estrenado el año 2019, comienza a trabajar para Radio Marca, en el programa Electroshock, con su propia sección dedicada a los orígenes la electrónica, “Las Crónicas Del EBM”, compartiendo micro, y, amistad, con locutores consagrados como Dj Fleckky y Natalia Freire. En el año 2020 crea su propio programa de radio, Disclosure - Only Techno, también pasa a formar parte del Roster de la agencia “Eighty One”, además, colabora en diversos medios y radios como DREI, Zona de Baile, Over Drive In Da House y Vuelve el Remember entre otros. Participa en dos documentales orientados al Techno, Dark Garden y Farola Sound.

En la actualidad continúa trabajando para Radio Marca y produciendo en el estudio para nuevas referencias de sellos nacionales e internacionales.
