In March of this year we saw Jimpster’s Porchlight And Rocking Chairs LP fall on expectant and eager ears, winning praise from the likes of RA, DJ Mag and Groove as well as plays and support from a host of the worlds best radio and club DJ’s. With the majority of the LP being more home listening than club-focused we decided to call in some of our favorite producers to rework a track of their choice for the dance-floors and here we present you the first part of the amazing results.

KiNK needs little introduction of course, except to say that his live set as well as his hands on hardware approach in the studio has seen him become established as one of the most exciting producers of the last couple of years. When he agreed to remix Porchlight And Rocking Chairs (a track he incidentally referred to as his favorite of the year!) we couldn’t have been happier and knew that something very special would come from it. When he got in touch to say he’d done a version but explained it was done live in one take with all the parts being tweaked in real time making it very hard to change anything we were even more intrigued and excited. As expected, what he delivered is an intense, high energy reworking full of piercing high’s and rattling lows, keeping the original chords and many of the keyboard lines in place but injecting a raw drive and improvised feel which has already seen it become a highlight of Jimpster sets this summer.

Andre Lodemann provides the perfect antidote to KiNK’s frenetic version in the form of his Towards The Seer Remix, going for a tight, emotive, late night groove which develops slowly, teasing out the arrangement and keeping things sublime and understated. Subtle bass twists and dubbed out FX build to the extended break where we’re introduced to the original’s acoustic bass riff in all it’s glory. Another brilliant Andre Lodemann production.

It was during a vision-quest to Joshua Tree where Jonnie King and Josh Royse molded their brotherhood through spirituality and music.  Shortly after, Jonnie started working with fellow producer Johnny Reyes to form the early stages of AENOIX.  The two received world-wide support from Lee Burridge on their first record, as well as capturing the mind of Robot Heart's Jason Swamy, who encouraged the buys to record their debut LP at his maiden Further Future festival.  With this, the soundscapes of AEONIX were born.

After their successful Further Future debut (of which, Pulse Radio had mentioned AEONIX as "1 of the Top 10 Acts to See at Further Future"), we exclusively premiere their track "A Star Was Born Feat. After a busy Spring with the launch of her Neverwhere Radio show, new tracks on Get Physical and mixing their latest Full Body Workout compilation, CAMEA sets the stage for summer with her next Bpitch Control installment. This will be CAMEA‘s third solo release on Ellen Allien’s imprint, following up her highly acclaimed ‘City Watch Over Me’ and ‘Neverwhere’ singles, as well as a vinyl only remix project featuring Deadbeat, Locked Groove and Lee Jones. Now the Seattle-born artist and Berlin resident contributes a great three-track collection for her new single titled, ’The Hallway’, out in vinyl and digital format.
In this selection, CAMEA continues to lay the foundation for her experimental combination of deep house and tech- no with a collection of three mind-bending pieces. The A side track, Wormhole, is a peak time techno space burner for the main stage, while the B-side goes deeper with two kaleidoscopic tech house tunes. The titled track, ‚The Hallway’, is a psychotropic and funky descent, layered with trippy vocals and spaced-out melodies, all connected by an irresistibly towering peak. Finally, ‘Orchestra of Dreams’ concludes her release with a harmonious and passionate dance ballad, rippling it’s way in and out of FM synthesis and orchestral harmonies for an eerie and elegant piece. CAMEA’s sound and ideas speak loudly on this release, sharing with us another part of her journey and adding ano- ther essential piece to her discography and the Bpitch archive.

Bedrock launched into 2015 with a highly creative double-header from two respected artists from the revolution that is currently happening in the Romanian electronic scene – Atapy & BOg. Now, with the summer season in full swing, BOg returns with 3 stunning solo creations and also joins creative forces with Germany’s super-talented Jonas Saalbach for a brace of exceptional tracks.

Opening with the naggingly hypnotic chimes of the EP’s vocalised title track, BOg shows precisely why he is proving to be a new name to watch with his precise attention to detail. The enchanting, brooding melancholy of “Abrial” and the off-kilter darkness of “Amarna” further mark him out as having a unique creative talent. With its powerful bass-driven groove and twisted arrangement, “Indie Rubels” heralds the arrival of Jonas Saalbach into the creative process, whilst the glorious, soaring cathedral-esque melodies of “The Prince” are sure to turn heads everywhere.

Berlin-based Jonas Saalbach is refreshingly different - he constantly reinvents his music but refrains from leaving out those distinct nuances, which make his music unmistakable. Known for performing his tracks exclusively live, and with releases on, amongst others, Einmusika and Moodmusic, he is a young talent whose work is excitingly still in its infancy. 

BOg is a Romanian electronic music composer and DJ, based in Paris and deeply passionate about music since childhood. He has risen to his current prominence through releases on Crosstown Rebels, Fumakilla, Akbal Music, and Bedrock (check his superb remix of “Gridlock” by none other than John Digweed & Nick Muir). With talent and releases like this, 2015 is shaping up to be an amazing year!

Diynamic Music's sister label 2DIY4 are announcing the release of a rework by one of their newest additions, Undercatt. The Italian pair recently remixed The Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition’, and managed to flip it from a once bright shining pop track into a true underground anthem with a great sense of style. It is a track you will have heard if you were at the Destino Ibiza closing when Solomun finished his set with the piece, to great receptions and big reactions.

Prepossessing the ability to effortlessly manoeuvre through the realms of house and techno, Tim Green has constantly experimented across the spectrum of electronic music.

Tim burst onto the scene back in 2008 with modern classics - ‘Revox’ and ‘Mr Dry,’ which were snapped up by highly revered labels, Dirtybird and Trapez Records. Since then he has released on countless high profile releases have followed since, on labels such as Cocoon, Get Physical, Saved, Four:Twenty, while his skills as a remixer have seen him turn his hand to an increasingly impressive cast, which includes Friendly Fires, Cassius, Booka Shade, Claude VonStroke, Timo Maas and Seth Troxler to name a few.

Today, the UK stalwart’s mix of Mark Slee's "Nocturne Belle" takes the track in a more epic, sweeping direction, equally well-built for both the late-night dance floors and the desert expanse. A strong and driving groove is punctuated by thunderous bass stabs alongside some of Tim’s signature arpeggiated synth-lines and a melodic buildup that is as fierce as it is cinematic.

As &MEs last two EPs on Keinemusik have been hitting the bulls eye of public perception immediately, his KM034 for sure will meet high expectations from DJs and crowd alike. What should one do within this sort of spotlight? Boil up the same old formula? Milk the cow? Play it safe? Well, &ME is rather going for the dont overthink it and just do whatever you like-option. Which in case of this "One On One"-EP is a collaborative effort with English singer/songwriter-enigma Fink thats letting musicality rule over functionality.
The titletrack on A comes creeping over the floor like an ash cloud. Built up on a grainy beat-pattern, having all lightness dashed out by droning bass, before Finks vocals are exorcising the ghosts of a heavy comedown. "One On One" has shaken off the facility of peaktime-consensus, before the straight kick comes in, but even that unmistakeable floor-referral is invalidated by gloomy harmonies after just a few bars. An obvious move against leadsingle-standards, but considering its omnipresent dark narrative and ultimately condensed vibe, "One On One" is without a doubt one of the strongest &ME cuts ever.
The offering on B1 might be considered as a bit more handy, but still: "Cape Coast" is rather grooving along a serious jungle-delirium than delivering easygoing beach-pleasure. A lot of hissing and chirping and rattling going on in between dense synth- and bass-layers, while live-recorded percussions are escalating into frenzy. Tribalhouse of a rather demonic breed.
Finally, Fink is stripping down the original outline of "One On One" into a sinister and subtle Dub-interpretation on B2. Blurred delays, sparse synths and occasionally implemented kick-detonations, reminding of an alarmingly lowered RHR. Meaning even wider room for his charisma breathing croon.

On the flip is a man known to many as Ripperton who delivers two slices of his trademark deep and mysterious technohouse music that unfurl with a poise and elegance known only to those with a true mastery of the craft. Glorious Stuff.

As always Kling Klong gives space for new artists and supports upcoming talents. This time Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold had no doubts signing this debut release from Stuttgart's dj/producer Ninetoes as 'Finder' is obviously a massive stand-out track which has the words 'summer hit' written all over it. So it was just easy to convince Leon and Re-UP from Italy to do the remixes and help to make this release even more oustanding.

 Over the course of 8 eventful years since their genesis as the Droog collective, the Los Angeles-based trio – Andrei, Brett & Justin – have become true Renaissance men of underground dance music. Sprung from their DJ roots in late 90s/early ‘00s, Droog have taken on (nearly) all of the essential mantles: label heads – since 2009 their Culprit outfit has become a real force in the new “Deep” dance music movement; promoters of considerable experience and renown – their party series long a hometown institution, took on a global reach with events spanning Europe and the Americas; and producers – solo or with steady collaborator Inxec, they have infiltrated some of the top dance music labels like Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, Supernature, Last Night on Earth, Noir and Akbal.  

Droog has now emerged as a touring DJ unit with a suitcase-full of highlights, from 4 appearances at the beloved Fabric in London, the twin Berlin clubbing institutions: Watergate and Renate, and Paris’ legendary Rex to memorable shows in Peru, Australia, Russia, Portugal, Ecuador and beyond.
